Management of regional environmental risk in railways' dangerous goods station has become the key to assure the safety of regional environment of railways' dangerous goods station. The paper makes the analysis of environmental risk and the process of risk management events about railways' dangerous goods transport. Based on the inherent environmental risk calculation of railways' dangerous goods station, through the model of field, the regional environmental risk field model of railways' dangerous goods station is established. The effectiveness of the application of the method is proved, the method not only reflects the distribution of regional environmental risk, but also provides decision support to the planning and layout of railway dangerous goods stations.

According to the widespread problems of the customer satisfaction system of third-party Logistics Company is suffering. This paper builds the blur layer model to analyze the effect that the factor customer satisfaction has on the system of third-party Logistics Company and evaluate the indicator system based on the catastrophe theory. Then a case is provided to show the application of the method. The results show that catastrophe model overcomes the multi-objective customer needs and uncertainty issues and avoids the subjective influence of weights design. The calculation is quite convenient.

In the background of the urban transportation, the choice of route in logistics transportation depends on realistic traffic condition. The congestion degree of urban traffic networks are regarded as a variable within the range of 0∼100%. Considering the traffic condition on adjacent intersections, the section congestion degree model is built based on traffic flow theory and the knowledge of operational research. The route congestion degree model is built based on series-parallel system arithmetic theory. The urban traffic networks are based on abstracted topological structures. Applying the max-flow min-cut theorem, the critical links between origin-destination pairs are found and the selection algorithm model of logistics routes is built. Finally, the numerical example is used to analyze the models.

In the paper, Location Model of Risk Pooling (LMRP) model based on Compensation and Punishment Policy is built for Logistics Company. The basic objective of the model is to occupy market or reduce the total costs. The model built is a square nonlinear 0–1 integer-programming model which helps to determine which retailer should serve as the distribution center and how to allocate the other retailers to the distribution centers. Applying the particle swarm optimization and using Daskin's computational instances, the suboptimum solution of the model is found and some conclusions are drawn. In a buyer market, logistics corporations should adopt a compensation policy giving a discount price of transportation in order to make up for the time lost to retailers. In a seller market, logistics corporations should adopt punishment policy by charging higher price of transportation in order to reduce distribution costs. By changing distribution radius D_r and compensation or punishment cost factor W, we can draw the following conclusions: Firstly, under compensation policy, compensation cost factor W is positively related with the objective function value and D_r is negatively related with the objective function value. Secondly, under punishment policy, punishment cost factor |W| is negatively related with the objective function value and positively related with the punishment cost and D_r is positively related with the objective function value.

This article carries out the reform and pilot study of the survey methodology for road freight transport. The purpose of the paper is to improve the current survey program reasonably and clarify the scope of the survey. In addition, it examines the needs and specific indicators for road freight transport. The basic objective of the study is to establish a type of statistical and survey method for road freight transport. This article proposes a simple random sampling method, and gathers the samples by using field investigation in combination with the typical survey method. This method of statistics for the extracted samples is uses a post-layered approach. Also, a corresponding mathematical model is established to carry on the statistics. By using this method, data obtained are more in line with the actual situation of Liuzhou. Thus it can be adopted for government and corporate decision-making. Thus, the example also validates the rationality and feasibility of the survey methodology.

An improved Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) is used to quantitatively investigate the impact of Jiangxi province regional economy on local logistics demand. The grey characteristics of data from regional economy and logistics is studied, which shows GRA is applicable; then a multi-sequence GRA is proposed, which generates total 8 groups of grey relational sequence from three indices of industrial added value and logistics demand based on GRA, while traditionally it is from just one index. It shows that the descending order of grey relational sequence is primary industry, secondary industry and tertiary industry, while the coefficient of tertiary industry will gradually increase along with economic development. Finally statements and explanations are given based on the Jiangxi Provincial industrial situation.

This paper studies the interaction between logistics development and economic growth in Beijing. The Granger causality test is applied to do demonstration analysis between logistics development and economic growth in this paper, and it shows that they are the Granger cause for each other at 1% or 10% significance level. Therefore, mutual promotion between logistics development and economic growth can be better achieved.

The Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system has recently been implemented within E-waste recycling as a key environmental measure. The current insufficient measures and lack of standards in China limit the adoption of EPR. This paper proposes a third-party E-waste recyling system (EWRS) models through EPR. The hope is to simplify the process of returning E-waste from consumers to producers and to help developing a scientific recycling and standard management system. The proposed framework uses the e-commerce information platform to collect and analyze recycling data in real time, therefore optimizing the design of the supply chain.

The paper uses both the demand of agricultural products and other influential variables to forecast Regional Logistics Demand of agricultural products. The paper examines that considering numerous related variables makes the forecast more accurate. To find out the nonlinear relationship between them, this article applies Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to forecast agricultural products Logistics Park deman. For this purpose it builds a forecasting model of regional economy, agricultural products demand and agricultural products logistics demand based on ANN. In addition, the paper uses the model to forecast agricultural products logistics park demand in YuHang County. The forecast result contributes to developing and designing agricultural products Logistics Park in YuHang County.

With the market economy system in China becoming more and more perfect, some transportation demand forecast often used in the planned economy system are not suitable to the current situations. Based on the influences of market economic system, service of transportation and transport price to the transportation volume, and relationship between traffic volume and land use, this paper has first analyzed the territorial traffic demand prediction with node land use model and the regional characteristics of transportation. Then on the advantages in Gravity Model and node land use model, a new node land use model suitable to regional traffic volume prediction is established, and its calculation algorithms are given too. Finally, a case study and its advantages with other methods are described.

As a pillar industry, modern logistics industry is an important component of modern service industries in many countries and regions. Especially after the international financial crisis, the development of logistics industry has been greatly promoted by the Rapid integration of global supply chain. But according to current division of the national economy, it is difficult to quantify the status of the logistics industry and its contribution to the national economy. Therefore, this paper tries to separate the logistics industry from the national economy, as a fourth category of the national economy. Then, this paper calculates out each department's Leontief inverse matrix, impact coefficient, response coefficient, production induction coefficient; and establishes the initial analytical framework of the spreading effects from modern logistics industry. Synchronously, applying the analytical framework, authors integrate the input-output tables of 144 departments of Henan Province (in 2007); analyze the correlation relation between the logistics industry and national economy in Henan Province. Study shows that the analytical framework of the industrial association and the spreading effects which resulted from modern logistics industry are based on four departments, which can better reveal the modern logistics industry's role in the national economy. At present, the logistics industry in our country is still in the basic position that provides service for other industries. The logistics industry plays a second important role in promoting the development of national economy, but the economic development depends on logistics industry in a lower level.

In today's ever-changing environment, the intensifying characteristics of diversification, individuation, small-lot and multi-batch consumption patterns and differentiation have led to great changes in the external environment of distribution centers. As a result, there is a need to handle uncertainty of service objects. Increasing flexibility has become an important development direction for distribution centers to become more adaptive and dynamic. Based on the flexible strategy, this paper analyzes four perspectives, including function designing, optimized procedure control, equipments selection and performance valuation. The article focuses on providing a fairly complete building mode of flexible distribution centers, which are armed with dynamic dispose and optimized resources in order to improve the adaptability and service level.

Chinese logistics industry and Chinese economic condition are developing at a fast pace. The process of development is affected by various factors. In this paper we'll analyze the main factors in the development of Chinese logistics industry, the impact on economy and proposed specific countermeasures.

In the study, 3PL enterprise carried out collaborative distribution by sharing information and integrating resources between them, which can help to reduce the operating costs of distribution and achieve profit efficiently. The article discusses that distributing the costs of collaborative distribution and sharing the profits reasonably is the prerequisite for the smooth implementation of collaborative distribution. In this paper, the Nash bargaining model is introduced on the basis of discussion of cost allocation method of the cooperative distribution. The article proposes methods for improvement on the basis of Nash bargaining solution. In addition, it proposes an amended program which takes into account the bargaining abilities of participants. Finally, a numerical example is given to illuminate that mended results are more fair and reasonable.

This paper analyzes the relationship between the development of logistics and industrial agglomeration from logistics point of view. The result shows that there is a "inverted U-type" non-linear relationship between the two things. That is to say, as the logistic industry develops, cost gradually reduces, which leads manufacturing industry to further aggregate in developed regions. However, when the logistic industry develops to a certain extent the cost reduces further which will reduce the extent of industrial agglomeration and industry will migrate from developed areas to backward areas.

The coordinated development between the transportation system and socio-economic system could promote the economic development rapidly and healthily which will benefit social and economy enormously. However, the uncoordinated phenomenon between them in reality needs research and solution. In order to cover the shortage of the present evaluation methods, this paper used grey principal component analysis with regression fit to analyze the coordinated development degree of the two systems. At last, the empirical study of Hubei was made and the result proved the analytical method reasonable.

Owning to the demand for facilities, equipments, living goods and food induced by unconventional emergency, it is imperative to build emergency logistics service facilities in urban. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the emergency logistics facilities location and considering maximize the satisfaction of emergency logistics demand points, the urban emergency logistics facilities location models with uncapacitated constraints are developed based on mixed integer nonlinear programming approach. The applicable conditions of the model are extended for capacity constraint of supply. A solution algorithm based on mathematic software for mixed integer nonlinear programming is proposed. Combining with actual samples, the calculation results of the urban emergency logistics facilities location models with capacity constraints and uncapacitated constraints are compared and analyzed for showing validity of this algorithm.

This paper decomposes logistics output growth into technical efficiency change (ECH), technological progress change (TCH) and capital accumulation change (KCH) of 30 provinces in China from 1998 to 2007. It explores their respective contribution to the logistics growth and analyzes their effect to the convergence of logistics with Barro regression equation. The following conclusion can be derived: the contribution of TCH, ECH and KCH to logistics growth individually is 7.34%, 13.41% and 79.13% respectively. The growth of the logistics industry mainly depended on KCH rather than TCH and ECH in the past decade. Though the productivity of logistics industry in central and western regions is still lower than that in eastern region, the growth of output is higher in the western and central region than that in eastern region which indicates that the logistics growth rate in backward regions is faster than developed regions.

Taking steel box tied-arch bridge scheme of Jinsha River Bridge on Chengdu-Guiyang passenger dedicated railway as study object, the refined numerical simulation model of whole vehicle and whole bridge system for coupled vibration analysis is set up. The dynamic analysis model of tied-arch bridge scheme is established by finite element method, and the natural vibration properties of the bridge are analyzed. The refined space vehicle model is set up by multi-system dynamics software SIMPACK, and the multiple non-linear properties are considered. The space vibration responses are calculated by co-simulation based on multi-body system dynamics and finite element method when an ICE Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) train passes the long span tied-arch bridge at different speeds. The calculation results show: The operation safety and comfort of vehicle can be guaranteed, and the bridge has sufficient transverse and vertical stiffness when the train operates at speeds ranging from 250km/h to 350km/h. The results provide a reference for design.

Assuming that the monopolist products of durable goods and easy—to—wear accessories (EWAs) of the durable products are studied one at a time, and a two-period Demand-Pricing model was constructed so as to explore the concerns regarding the durability of the goods and EWAs. According to the model, a renting firm will provide a socially efficient cost-minimizing check on the durability of goods independent of the durability of EWAs. And the manufacture who pursues more profit should only consider the durability of EWAs. Thus Swan's market independence result can be extended to include durable goods renters that manufacture EWAs of the durable products. However, the result is not extended to sales markets. With sales, the monopolists will practice planned obsolescence both of durable goods and EWAs. The monopolists will manufacture goods and EWAs with uneconomically short lives in different degrees. The the planned obsolescence of durable products is maximized when the easy wear accessories are highly durable.

Cement manufacturing is a consistent process. This paper argues that the process should be split in two parts, which are cement clinker manufacturing and end product manufacturing. This results in the changes of supplying logistics, manufacturing logistics and selling logistics in middle/small factories and large enterprises. Thus the logistic mode of transporting limestone, addition of cement and cement in short distance and transporting cement clinker in long distance can be realized. This mode can effectively reduce ineffective transportation, energy consumption, and environmental pollution, which will lead to healthy logistics of cement.

With a view to more critical demands for financial management from modern logistics, this paper employed support vector machines (SVM) to analyze reasons for financial distress of logistics enterprises and thus established a model for the distress early-warning. SVM can apply to small samples and nonlinear data and solve "the curse of dimensionality", local optimization and over-fitness in machine learning, and therefore the robustness and generation capacity of the financial distress early-warning model for logistics enterprises is clearly enhanced. Also, the model effectively overcame constrains caused by the statistics methodology, commonly used by the logistics at present, such as strict hypothesis, excessive dependence on linear functions, etc. In particularly, the paper fully allowed for management complexity and corresponding capricious attributions to the financial distress of the logistics enterprises and added two non-financial indicators, namely whether or not the third party logistics and exterior environment changes, to heighten deeply the model's prediction ability.

Shuohuang Railway is pressing for an applicable and high-efficiency logistics operation system guarantee mode. This paper analyses the power factors and the relationship of Shuohuang railway logistics operation system (SRLOS) guarantee mode. It constructs the framework of SRLOS synergy guarantee mode using the synergy guarantee theory and proposes some suggestions about its implementation.

Emergency material dispatching is a vital part of emergency rescue system and dispatching of goods on time is essential for the rescue activity. This paper studies the emergency material dispatching problem under the condition of dynamic demand. Firstly, multi-objective optimization model is established with the goal of earliest finish time and least related costs. And then a solvable method is designed based on the greedy algorithm and solves the problem by the idea of stratified sequence. Finally, the numerical example demonstrates the efficiency of the model and the feasibility of the algorithm.

This paper mainly discusses integrated coordination of stations and lines' capacity at railway terminal. The terminal is regarded as a combination of passenger, freight and marshalling stations. A mathematic model was constructed by taking the stations and lines' capacity. The minimum allowable flow on line and the kinds of inbound trains as constraints to achieve the object of maximizing the entropy of utilization rate of stations and lines at the terminal by using the model of max entropy function. The result of passenger and freight volume can be derived. Further quantitative calculation and qualitative analysis on the calculation example indicates that the model and methods are practical.

When planning and constructing the system of bus rapid transit (BRT), it is crucial to classify and select the operation mode of BRT reasonably. This paper analyzes the formation process of BRT operation mode and classifies the operation mode into the primary, standard and advanced mode with taking the infrastructure, operational characteristics and service level into consideration. The ANP method was employed to set up the decision-making model of operation mode, the indexes which include social, economic and service factors. A case study was performed on Lanzhou BRT Planning Line 2; the result calculated by Mat lab illuminates that the primary operation mode is the best. The result shows that the operation mode selected by this model is in accordance with the economy and traffic flow of the service area, the model is practical.

Theory of constraints is a management method aimed at enhancing revenue of the entire system. This thesis analyses the entire distribution system from the overall angle, uses appropriate technology tools to identify and resolves the root problem hidden behind the surface in order to enhance revenue of the entire distribution system. Theory of constraints (TOC) is a management method aimed at enhancing revenue of entire system. It believes that the maximum output of a system is the weakest link and also bottleneck in it. Only by continuously enlarging and eliminating these bottlenecks, revenue of the system can be enhanced. The optimization of non-bottleneck resources will only result in excessive inventory or waste of resources, but not contribute to improvement of the entire revenue. This article leads TOC into the research of status quo and development of distribution system, which can find the key factors obstructing the development of China's distribution industry and then improve it, in order to promote the rapid development of logistics enterprise and the operational efficiency of supply chain.

Many kinds of factors will cause low express service quality in China. Among which the unbalanced value target of Chinese companies is the key one. Companies focus too much on seeking their own interests rather than the consumers. To solve this problem effectively, the concept "degree of attention on value target" is introduced and a theoretical model of the unbalanced value target in Chinese express companies is proposed from the perspective of the "degree of attention on customer value" and "degree of attention on enterprise value". Based on this model effective measures need to be taken for it to become the main route to achieve the balanced development between companies' value and customers' value in China.

To predict the Quantum of Passenger / Goods Transport in China-Korea Railway Ferry with moulds through analysis of trade actuality and development trend in China and Korea. The gross of transport of China-Korea Railway Ferry in 2020 and 2030 is 36,260,000 tons and 45,360,000 tons respectively.

Regional logistics is an important component of the regional economy and regional logistics demand forecast is the key step in regional logistics system planning and logistics resources rationalization. In view of the weaknesses of simple forecasting model for the prediction of regional logistics demand, a new combined forecasting model for regional logistics demand was put forward based on the improved gray neural network. The model was verified using the data of the regional logistics demand volume of Henan province. The analysis of erroneous results shows that it efficiently improves the precision for the regional logistics demand prediction. It proves to be a method for macroscopic logistic system.

Based on the current situation, this paper analyzes the inside condition and the outside environment on logistics industry by the method of SWOT at the facing harbor gather's District in QinHuangDao. Then it determines the strategy and specific task in the near future and in the long run. After that, it designs logistic system and plans function in logistic garden and designs three project groups which could provide direction for inviting investments on government.

According to the method of Theil indexes, the paper starts by analyzing the difference of regional logistics development in China from 1980 to 2007. Then, the paper establishes deterministic model about regional logistics development with panel data, and it analyzes the influence of human capital, location, the regional logistics policy, market openness and the network of logistics to the development of regional logistics.

In this paper, the modes and means of green logistics transportation are studied. According to green transportation ideas, the feasibility measures are proposed to achieve energy-saving emission reduction and energy efficiency goals from four aspects: modes of transportation, means of transportation, logistics network and freight organizational model. The result shows that the proposed modes and means can reduce environmental pollutions and provide reference for achieving green logistics transportation.

Competency is a key standard of evaluation and selection. This paper takes manufacturing logistic personnel as an object of study. Firstly, we identify the competency of logistics industry. In order to identify the competency of the manufacturing logistics personnel, the spaa13.0 software is employed to analyze the data from the questionnaires. The research shows that the eight factors existed in the manufacturing logistics personal competence. The study establishes the competency of the manufacturing logistics personnel and differentiates analysis of control variable, providing brand-new theoretical basis for evaluating and selecting the manufacturing logistics personal.

In this paper, health impact which is caused by traffic pollutant is considered based on traditional BPR model, and environmental traffic impedance model of open road (such as urban freeway) is constructed. A method of calculating pollutant concentration on the bottom of widen road is firstly given. Health effect caused by atmosphere pollutant is quantitatively analyzed by using Concentration-Response relationship between pollutant concentration and health effect, and then monetized by willing payment method. Generalized impedance model considering health impacts is constructed with the concern of traditional BPR model. An example is given to explain the BPR model. A generalized impedance model based on CO is constructed and its characteristic is analyzed. Health impacts monetization is the most important part in the generalized impedance model which is based on health impacts. Impedance calculated by BPR model is a fixed value when the traffic volume is fixed, but this generalized impedance varies if vehicle type proportion varies, because different vehicle types have different emission factors.

Applies industrial structure theory to analyze the correlation effects of our water transport industry. By virtue of direct consumption coefficient, total consumption coefficient, intermediate demand rate, intermediate input rate, influence coefficient, sensitivity coefficient to analyze the structural relationship between our water transport industry and other industries. Then studies the spill-over effects of water transport industry to other industries and after those analysis, we can get the industry status of our water transport in national economy development.

This study examines the impact of oil imports on Japan's economy. Using annual data from 1962 to 2008, we find a long-run equilibrium co-integrating relation among these non-stationary series. Short-run Granger non-causality tests based on vector error correction (VEC) model show that both the quantity of crude oil imports and Yen rates Granger cause the real GDP with positive effects. Moreover, the quantity of refined petroleum products imports is Granger caused by real GDP, quantity of crude oil imports and Yen rates; in the long-run, Granger causality runs from the equilibrium co integrating relationship to real GDP as well as to the import quantity of refined petroleum products. Strong erogeneity Wald tests reveal that in the long-run, all variables exert significant effects on real GDP. Further impulse response analysis shows that price shocks of both crude oil and refined petroleum products have positive long-run effects on Japanese economy, implying an endogenous technological progress under the strong constraints of energy supply.

It is necessary to define transport capacity ahead of urban rail transit construction. Different specific value of factors influencing transport capacity can induce different operation organization of urban rail transit. This dissertation builds a judge index system of operation organization based on the above factors, and defines their weight and index value. Fuzzy comprehensive judgment of negative ideal point based on Triangular Fuzzy Numbers is adapted to evaluate different organizations and obtain the optimal one. It turns out that the above method is very useful to judge the operation organization alternatives based on transport capacity.

It is important to evaluate the investing benefits of Logistics Park, which is a business of renascence in China. This paper introduces data envelopment analysis (DEA) as a tool to evaluate the relative efficiency of a group of logistics park projects. The paper starts with a general review of the basic definitions and models of DEA, and then provides a review of the performance evaluations of the logistics park. First, a CCR-model of DEA is applied to a group of logistics parks that have different inputs and outputs. Then, using the DEA-solver, the relative efficiency scores and slack variables for the logistics park used in the study were analyzed. As a result, we were able to determine the impact of each input and output on the efficiency from slack variables' value of each logistics park, and finally, we were able to provide the target values for assisting managers in the improvement of inefficient logistics parks.

The modern logistics industry has played an important role in the economic development increasingly, and in the development level of regional logistics has been a significant measure index of regional economic competitiveness and development level. The Central Plain region has predominant transportation advantage and a long history of business. The development of logistics industry has become a consensus between the Government and business community. For scientific evaluation the logistics development level in Central Plain urban agglomeration region extract the decisive combination factors from a number of factors by the principal component analysis, and construct the comprehensive evaluation model of logistics development level in Central Plain. By this model we find that the logistics industry of Henan Province entered into a rapid development period since 2000, and this comprehensive evaluation model can also apply in correlative research of other provinces and areas.

In order to analyze the effect of many factors on highway freight demand and to find the relationship between them effectively, the factors is divided into economic factors and elastic factors. To analyze the effect, key factor analysis method is used. The highway freight indexes from 1980 to 2005 in some province are computed using this method and the elastic coefficient is derived by analyzing the relationship between economic factors and elastic factors. The results show that key factor analysis method is useful to analyze highway freight demand. Highway freight elastic coefficient is the result of the joint action of Highway Freight Transportation System and economic system, and is the ratio of freight growth rate to economic growth rate. However, depending upon, if it is freight or economy, there are many evaluation indexes. In view of the complexity of multiple variables for statistical computing, it needs to integrate multiple variables, and then analyze the integration relationship of each index and freight demand. Thus, for the comprehensive and effective analysis of the effect of many indexes to freight demand and to reveal the link between highway freight, this paper puts forward the concept of the highway freight economic factors and elastic factor. It is calculated using factor analysis method, and obtains the elastic coefficient of the highway freight through the relationship between the economic factor and elastic factor.

This paper applied the green economic theory to the practice economic development, and made an empirical research on the status and problems of the logistics industry development in Jilin Province. Combined with the construction of ecological province of Jilin Province this paper put forward the building of green logistics system as a new model of logistics development in the regional economy. Thus, this paper proposed the development strategy of green logistics.

Operations in logistics and supply chain are becoming the part of today's most important economic activities. Logistics activities, however, impose huge negative impact on nature environment, and become the significant sources of air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, which raised concerns on reducing the amount of emissions worldwide. The motivation and goal of this paper is to study a "green" logistics and supply chain configuration design problem and further integrate with the decision on environmental investment. The research methodology of this paper is involved with problem definition, mathematical modeling, and optimization. The paper uses a generic facility location model to design the green logistics network, which focuses on not only minimizing the cost of logistics system, but also minimizing the emission of CO₂. The paper further discusses differences between "green" and traditional logistics settings, and finds the optimal solution of logistics configuration in the context of the green supply chain.

Regional logistics center plays a very important role in the logistics system, so its location is very significant for the effectiveness of the operation of logistics system. In regional logistics distribution system, the relationship of logistics centers is not only competitive, but also cooperative. This paper, based on these characteristics, puts forward a logistics center location bi-level programming model. The bi-level programming model takes two different decision-makers —the location planner and the consumer into consideration. By using a marginal function and the variation inequalities (VI) approach, we obtain the optimal location of logistic centers problem.

With the rise and development of the logistics industry, logistics education has received increasing attention. While most of schools even do not meet the real demand of companies to logistics personnel. In this paper we collected a large number of logistics recruitment information, and classified the information into four categories: storage, transport and production logistics according to the job content. Then in each category we extracted the raw data and statistically showed them as work experience, education, ability and character, which are made up of the human resource quality structure of logistics personnel.

In order to make a quantitative evaluation of the degree of safety of the marine operation, we take into account the four elements of ship's safety operation system, including human, ship, environment and management and analyze it using the systematic methods. As the key factor of the above mentioned four elements is human-marine staff, it is of utmost importance to make quantitative evaluation of the degree of safety of the relative marine staff. This paper presents a quantitative evaluation model to assess the eligibility of marine engineering staff. The assessment indexes system is built on the basis of experts' survey reports and layer analysis; which assigns different weight factor to each index. The fuzzy assessment method is used to solve the model. The assessment results are effective in evaluating the degree of safety of the marine engineering staff.

In the paper, a J2EE based workflow management system was designed. Using workflow engine, the system was made modular with the distributed strategy. Through the overall process described in cooperation between the various modules, the system of B/S structure is performed and applied to the network service platform for injection mould business.

Reverse logistics network design is the main research direction and the key point of reverse logistics technology. The structure of Reverse Logistics network seems inconstant because it has various factors and recovery options for returned products. This paper summarizes and categorizes the factors that have impact on the structure of the reverse logistics network, such as types of reverse flows, the reverse logistics drivers and characteristics of the returned products. In the same time, we discuss the factors and main processes of the Reverse Logistics network. By analyzing the interrelations of the above factors, establish a general framework to determine the structure of Reverse Logistics.

In terms of the uncertainty of reverse logistics, we creatively provide a new forecast model by combining the grey forecast model with time series forecast model to build models on the uncertainty of return quantity, return quality and return time during the implementation process and also forecast return. Based on the simulation and comparison, we find that the data-fitting accuracy of the combined forecast model is enhanced by 22% and 18% respectively compared to that of simplex time series forecast model and simplex grey forecast model which demonstrates the validity and accuracy of the reverse logistics uncertainty prediction made by the combined forecast model.

There is growing concern about the negative impact of trade logistics on climate change. This article examines the concerns and challenges created by the global cap-and-trade scheme such as border tax adjustments measures which will impact on Trade Logistics facilitation and cost. The most recent study estimated that emissions from international shipping at 870 million tons in 2007, as 3.1% percentage of world fuel combustion. Increasingly, it is being recognized that considered and concerted action is urgently required to ensure effective control of carbon emissions and to establish the requisite adaptive capacity. The authors discuss the related technical and operational measures to reduce carbon emissions of international logistics, and analyze their potential efficiency gains. Finally, we point out some implications of the proposed mitigation measures for global trade and logistics.

In recent years various disasters with enormous consequences occurred frequently around the world. Emergency logistics management (ELM) has got much attention and has become a new efficient methodology in dealing with disasters. Based on the multi-agent theory, this paper presents an integrated platform for ELM, in which emergency responses are managed by a set of intelligent agents for one or more activities. The platform infrastructure of ELM is constructed and the functionalities and responsibilities of its compositional modules are defined respectively. It is necessary that it has potential value for practical applications.

In this paper, the long-run dynamic relationship of logistic industry with domestic and foreign trade in China is examined with Unrestricted Vector Auto regression model, Vector Error Correction model and Impulse Response Function. The empirical study shows that only one reliable co integration relationship exists between them; The promoting effects on domestic and foreign trade by the development of logistics industry is long-term and continuously stable, as well there are certain linkage mechanisms between logistics industry, domestic trade and foreign trade; The pushing effect of domestic trade upon the development of logistics industry is far more greater than that of foreign trade; The linkage mechanism between logistics industry and domestic trade acts more efficiently.

This thesis firstly analyzes the internal mechanism and benefits from the interactive development. Secondly, the Gray Relational Model is used to calculate the coordination index between manufacturing and logistic industry. The theoretical analysis shows that both can benefit from the interactive development but there is difference in the benefits distribution which is related with market structure and different development stage of logistics. From the empirical study, we find that the evolutionary rules of the coordinated index go from uncoordinated condition to coordinated condition and then back to uncoordinated condition again. Therefore, the construction of benefits distribution mechanism is very important and different kinds of manufacturing industries have to seize their own relationship with logistics industry. Logistics industry has to meet manufacturing industries' demands.

Inland waterway transportation plays an important role in China's economic development. In recent years, state and local governments increased their investment in inland water transportation and inland shipping capacity grows continuously. Although inland water transportation developed steadily, it is still uncoordinated with the development of market economy in some respects. In comparison to the developed countries, China's inland water transportation resources and its advantages have not yet been fully developed and exploited. In this paper, the development status of China's inland water transportation, the present problems in shipping capacity, ship type, competition, management, technical equipment and security system were analyzed comprehensively and the methods to solve these problems were proposed. The results are instructive for the sustainable development of inland water transportation in China.

Considering the retailer's effort and the randomness of the recycling products quantity, we regard the cost saving of remanufacturing as an objective function to investigate a manufacturer how to take advantage of cost sharing contract to encourage its retailers' effort and achieve the coordination of the reverse supply chain ultimately. The research of the paper indicated that the profit rate achieved by the manufacturer is equalized to the ratio that they return to the retailer when the reverse supply chain is achieving coordination and the retailer's overall profit is always promoted. In addition, the manufacturer's profit is determined by the margin between the whole profit increase of the reverse supply chain system and the retailer's cost of decentralized decision. Finally, an example is illustrated to testify the conclusion and argued the possibility of Pareto improvement existing in the channel.

Logistics projects market is in a developmental stage. Because the logistics competition depends on human beings, the manager's competency is very important in the management. At present, many of literature referring stuff belong to individual experience. It was short of operation in practice. This paper promotes a new idea to evaluate logistics mangers. It makes use of the advantage of the theory of Rough Sets, which does not need pre-existing information except for the data. So this method has more objectivity than before. Finally, a case study illustrates the efficiency of this method.

This paper establishes a performance evaluating system of construction logistics management on the three dimensions of process, object and task. The basic objective is to enhance the core competitiveness of the construction enterprises and the whole performance of the construction projects. In addition, the performance based on one of the three dimensions is evaluated through fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. Furthermore, the two ways are expounded for the whole performance of the system.

Logistics activities are a cooperative process of multi-part, and each part must consume some energy. Energy has become a major and limiting factor during the development of the logistics industry. However, there has been few studies related to the energy consumption of the regional logistics system in China so far, which has seriously hampered the implementation of energy saving and emission reduction in the logistics industry. After the actual survey and absorption of existing achievements, evaluation index system of energy consumption of regional logistics system was constructed, and the evaluation model was established with the basic principles of the information entropy theory. The result of the case shows that the level of energy consumption of the regional logistics system can be determined accurately and effectively by this evaluation method.

Though Logistics is greatly boosting the development of the economy, it has brought serious negative effects on the social environment which makes Green Logistics the universal public voice. The transportation, storage, loading and unloading, packaging, and other sectors, which the transportation takes most of the time and cost, can directly influence the performance of the whole green logistics. With the concept of Green Logistics as well as the national conditions, the drawbacks and deficiencies in the transportation rationalization in China are analyzed, compared with the advanced experiences in and abroad, e.g. how to use combined transportation and joint delivery of advanced logistics technology, and from the government-wide, enterprises-wide and public-wide perspective, the author gives practical advices to perform the green logistics transportation.

Using the expected utility, game theory and dynamic programming methods, considered both ability reputation and cooperation reputation in the logistics project team members of incentive mechanism. Research shows that: First, when probability of cooperation of team member drops, degree of patience of non-cooperation member who pretends to be cooperation member will enhance, and non-cooperation member is more willing to choose cooperation behavior. Second, the lower the team member's professional ability or ability reputation, the bigger is team member's optimal incentive coefficient in the t^th milestone. Third, the smaller the proportion of investment funds for output, the bigger is the team member's optimal incentive coefficient in the t^th milestone. Fourth, the more unstable the social economy, the bigger is the team member's optimal incentive coefficient in the t^th milestone.

Based on the evaluation index system of urban circulation power, the paper does comparative studies on urban circulation power of the cities in the Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone by means of factor analysis. The paper indicates that the main factors which influence the urban circulation power can be reduced to scale factor, trading factor and information factor and holds the view that the development of urban circulation power is unbalanced between cities in eastern coastal and cities in inland of the Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone.

Of the problems and contradictions in the regional logistics activities, and the environment in the process of China's rapid economy development, this paper focuses on the utilization of strategic environment appraisal (SEA) theory, through the analysis of the regional economy, logistics activities and environment, to establishment of regional logistics and the environment evaluation system, combined use of entropy modified AHP and fuzzy method to build evaluation model. Taking Harbin as an example of a comprehensive evaluation and analysis, in order to objectively evaluate the environment and regional logistics development in harmony, it provides decision support for sustainable development of the regional logistics and economy.

The duty of emergency logistics is to meet the demand of emergency material within the shortest possible time, the simplest process and the most efficient way. According to the statistical study of the relevant literature about emergency logistics, this paper, by using Bibliometrics method, screens out seven relevant factors which affect the emergency logistics. We use DEMATEL (decision making trial and evaluation laboratory) method to analyze cause and effect relation among these related factors, classify and sort those factor sets according to the quantitative results, and find out the key factors which affect emergency logistics, including distribution of reserve place (the distance between a saving point and emergency point), the reserve number of emergency materials, the transit time of emergency materials, the demand of emergency materials, the degree/grade of emergency incident. We expect to provide a scientific basis for emergency logistics management decisions.

Fuel taxes reflect the principle of fairness support the "consume more, pay more" policy, which brings some pressure to the transport companies. This paper, analyzing its the positive and negative effects on logistics industry by the implementation of fuel tax, with the method of system dynamics simulation, offers some recommendations and countermeasures for China's logistics industry. This paper aims at shortening the mal-adjustment period and resolving the current cost problems in logistics development. The fuel tax has replaced road maintenance fees, road tolls, bridge tolls and transport management fees, and so on. It is an important measure for the logistics system cost and means much to promote the development of Chinese logistics industry. However, the fuel tax suffers from several negative aspects, particulary with respect to its effects on the weak logistics industry. These include fuel cost, revenues, the cost of developing new lines, purchasing and maintenance of cars. Hence, the logistics enterprises must devise novel means to circumvent these obstacles. Therefore, the paper analyses the countermeasures offered to promote the development of logistics enterprises.

Taking an enterprise which produces bedclothes as an example, it establishes a supplier evaluation model and the selection of a supplier, which will have a practical significance in building the partnership between the suppliers in the company.

China's environmental logistics is still in the preliminary stage, especially with respect to deep application research in petroleum field. This paper aims at researching the implementation of environmental logistics to petroleum companies. Based on the current and developed research situation of environmental logistics, and the non-environmental logistics such as `Floor Oil' in petroleum companies, and by using the method of game theory, this paper analyzes the barrier of implementing environmental logistics of petroleum companies and raises the countermeasure to solve these problems.

Relying on the geographical advantage, Tianjin's logistics industry developed earlier, however because the actions of logistics are distributed in various industries the costs of logistics are calculated in various accounts, the statistical account to cost and income of logistics is very difficult. To weigh the development of Tianjin logistics industry becomes a difficult problem. In this paper, we consult other industries' statistical accounting systems, use the companies' reporting statistics data, introduce input-output table, base Tianjin background, design a statistical accounting system which fits to logistics industry. In addition, we use the data of Tianjin to do empirically analysis. We draw the following conclusions: first, there is a certain correlation between the development of Tianjin logistics industry and the enhancement of economy overall level; second, with the development of logistics industry, the contribution of logistics to national economy will become more prominent.

This paper constructs a mathematical model from the biological logistic model, to describe and analyze the relationship between forest fruits industry and cold chain logistics. The result proves that the fruits industry cannot be developed without the cold chain logistics, and if the cold chain logistics enterprises hope to expand market share and improve economic benefits, they also need to develop forest fruit business. So there is a symbiotic synergistic effect between the forest fruits industry and the cold chain logistics enterprises.

Coal resources is the essential energy in China, with the significant increase in coal demand, it is inevitable to transport coal to hinterland from Xinjiang. The prediction of coal freight volume is the foundation of planning and constructing the coal transport corridor and coal logistics system. In this paper, the Grey Prediction Method and Markov Prediction Method are combined to predict coal freight volume. The analysis shows that the results of the GM (1, 1) Prediction could be ameliorated by using Markov Chain, and more accurate results could be obtained, which proves that the Grey-Markov Chain Method is more reliable and effective for policy makers.

Industry agglomeration is one of the important contemporary models of regional economic development, whose effect leads to regional economic development. In accordance with the current development of the logistics industry in Chongqing, this paper begins with industrial cause analysis of the formation of logistics, and further analyzes the agglomeration mechanism and factors of the logistics industry. This paper selects the agglomeration-degree index, which is the improved location quotient, makes empirical study on the data collected, having a comparative study on the agglomeration-degree of industry, combines with the status quo of the logistics industry and related theories, and draws a conclusion finally that the overall level of the logistics industry agglomeration in Chongqing is higher, and it is in the rising phase of development.

The total exhaust emission model of urban traffic network composed of intersection exhaust emission and section exhaust emission. The model is proposed considering vehicle type, pollutant species, fuel and other factors. The bi-level programming model is constructed which can further minimize the total exhaust emission of urban traffic network by the optimal road capacity enhancement and the optimal signal circle. Based on the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, a solution algorithm is designed for the bi-level programming model. A simulation example is presented to verify the proposed model and algorithm.

In the dual background of the rapid urbanization and traffic congestion, it becomes extremely important to coordinate the development of the rail transit and the land use along it, which is a strategy to best play its' role of development-guiding and public transportation. The method in the research is different from the traditional ones, which deconstructs the system into three levels as site, route and net. These levels constitute an evaluation factors system which not only can be used independently, but also can be treated as a whole. The evaluation model is established by AHP method, which enables to comparatively study of site, route, net and other various indicators.

Considering the layout of Medium-sized cities logistics parks is lacking unified planning. This paper analyzes the problems and developing potential of the logistics system in medium-sized cities. Focused on analyzing the relationship between industrial clusters and logistics parks, transportation network conditions and logistics parks, we get the logistics parks layout planning. Finally, we evaluate this urban logistics system by AHP method. It performed very well in Shijiazhuang logistics parks layout planning and would be helpful in solving the other medium-sized cities' logistics parks layout planning.

The logistics system has developed into a new stage with the application of the technology of Modular Design and Innovative Design. This paper analyzed the needs, objectives and technical characteristics of Modular Design in logistics system. Then it introduced the Creative Templates method in the design system of the logistics, and made the corresponding design flow for innovation in logistics system. This paper also discussed the key technology of applying the creative design and the modular design to the logistics system, and built a design method which combined the Creative Templates and relationship matrix based on modular. The operation of the method was illustrated in this paper.

With the development of economy, the requirements for resource recycling and environmental protection push the enterprises to pay more and more attention to reverse logistics. Through reverse logistics, many enterprises improve material utilization, reduce the costs and enhance customer satisfaction on products or services, thereby increasing their competitive advantage. In the increasingly competitive market, the life cycle of perishable high-tech products becomes shorter and shorter, meanwhile product upgrades turns out to be faster and faster. Thus, many manufacturing enterprises use trade-in as the means of reverse logistics. However, the pricing strategy is one of the most important tasks which is directly related to the costs and benefits of reverse logistics. Based on the condition, the manufacturers take charge of trade-in. The author establishes a trade-in pricing model of the perishable high-tech products in this paper. The author also analyzes the manufacturer's optimal pricing strategy under different conditions of trade-in, and verifies the validity of the model through example analysis and numerical simulation. Then by sensitivity analysis, the author studies the impact of consumer's reserving price on manufacturer's pricing strategy and profits.

Manufacturing logistics is an important part in logistics industry. It supports the development of manufacturing industry. The article initially summarizes predecessors' theoretical study, then makes a quantitative analysis on the correlation between manufacturing and logistics industry during the year 2004 –2008 of Hangzhou by gray correlation model, finally analyzes the main problems and puts forward some solutions to promote the linkage development of manufacturing and logistics industry.

With the rapid rise of Bohai Economic rim, the competition between different ports has intensified as well as their logistics capabilities. Meanwhile, the competition gradually evolved into the competition between the supply chains in which the ports involved. Based on the present situation of Bohai economic rim, this paper mainly concentrated on logistics capability comparison among Tianjin, Dalian, Qingdao, Caofeidian, the four significant ports, establishing multi-level evaluation index system, to evaluate the logistics competitiveness of the above four ports.

In the process of the traditional products' effort to provide higher-value service, innovative method is needed to guide logistics, after-sales and so on. This paper presents an innovative product design process for service and logistics. It integrates data mining technology, TRIZ (Theory of the Solution of Inventive Problems) and CRD (Contradiction Resolution Diagram). Through analyzing the user's demand for products, exploring services data of user's demands, the service information framework based on knowledge frame system was built up. The template information was then analyzed and injected into the CRD to confirm the conflict between service activity and product attribute. TRIZ was employed to seek a solution aiming at reducing or eliminating the contradictions. The whole process of product innovation was illustrated by an innovative design of hydro turbine axle.

The increasingly serious environmental problems have accelerated the urgency to better coordinate the relationship between men and the natural environment. To reduce the adverse impacts of the logistics activities on the environment, this paper has studied the present situation of green logistics both at home and abroad and analyzed the integrated enterprise management mode. Then, based on the predecessor's research in enterprise logistics and green logistics, this paper has proposed an integrated green logistics management model and an investment-benefit analysis model. Further, this paper has cited an example to illustrate the benefit of integrated green logistics management model.

According to the Long Term Railway Network Development Plan, 18 railway container logistics centers will be built in China. At the same time, passenger dedicated line (PDL) network, will bring about passenger and freight separation and improve freight transportation capability in railway effectively, and will also be built. In this paper, the assignment method of container freight in network with PDL is discussed based on the logistics centers flow forecasting by gray model. After analyzing the factors which affect container liner train organization above, the approach to construct the container liner train operating plan of one center is proposed.

Under the development of modern logistics industry, many logistics parks are in the planning stage or have been constructed. Because many logistics companies get together in the logistics park, a large number of vehicle parking issues will become an important problem while planning the logistics park's transport. Here, firstly, we analyzed the factors of parking demands of logistics park, and proposed that land use and motor vehicle traffic is the main factor influencing the parking demands of logistics park; secondly, according to the features of land-use of logistics parks and characteristics of vehicles, a reasonable model of forecasting the parking demands has been given. Lastly, a method of parking lot scale of logistics parks has been proposed and verified with an example. Under the development of modern logistics industry, many logistics parks are planning or have been constructed. As a close relationship of the logistics and urban transportation, urban transportation is the key issue in logistics parks planning. Logistics Park, as a major cargo distribution center, attracts lots of vans and carriage trucks, and aggregates a lot of logistics enterprises. It results a series of vehicle parking problems. Planning of parking lots as an important part of logistics park transport planning, has a great impact on the park's operating management, internal traffic organization and static traffic in urban and so on, it is also important to determine the scale of parking lots in logistics park.

Different scholars have different division methods of Take-Back Models in Reverse Logistics. This paper analyzes and summarizes the different divisions to Take-Back Models in Reverse Logistics. We consider that Take-Back Models in Reverse Logistics, based on EPR, have four types: Third Party Take-Back, Retailer Take-Back, Manufacturer Take-Back, and Producer Responsibility Organization Take-Back. On the basis of this concept, this paper analyzes and researches the factors influencing the choice of Reverse logistics Take-Back Models. An evaluation index system on choice of Reverse logistics Take-Back Models is presented, and then a hierarchy grey comprehensive assessment model is established by using hierarchy grey comprehensive assessment method. Finally an example is given to show this method's application.

This paper presents a comparative analysis of the level of development of the logistics industry in the eastern, middle and western areas in China based on panel data and related models. Proxies of logistics supply and demand are selected reasonably. The results show that development of logistics has had positive effects on economic growth, but there are obvious differences in the three major regions. The more developed the regions are, the larger role the logistics infrastructure plays in economic growth; on the other hand, the less developed the regions are, the smaller role the cargo turnover plays that contributes to economic growth.

With continuous economic development, the air cargo plays an increasingly important role in economy. Focusing on the characters of air cargo, air cargo network with hub and spoke structure is built, moreover the airplane type setting and assignment are analyzed as well as flight frequency of the hub. Finally, a practical calculation example is given for analysis. As an advanced transportation mode, air cargo has been undergoing rapid development the recent years. Especially, fueled by fast growth of national economy, air cargo industry in China has gained rapid progress. For example, although the financial crisis brought severe influence in 2009, annual freight turnover of domestic civil aviation reached 12626.736 million tons, which increased 5.6% than that of last year; the cargo freight volume reached 44545.36 million tons, with increase of 9.3%. However, civil aviation in China traditionally put more emphasis on passenger flight than on cargo, consequently there are few theoretical study on air cargo, only Mingguo Bo, Jinfu Zhu and so on did some pure theoretical research on it, but the foreign experts, like O'Kelly, Campbell, they have done a lot work on air cargo. Till now, in the aviation industry, air cargo is widely believed to be one of the new economic growth points of civil aviation in China. Therefore, it is in urgent demand of the study on theory of air cargo (such as frequency of flights, airplane type planning studies).

This paper studies how to appraise regional logistic development. We will establish an evaluation system by factor analysis. We use five kinds of key indicators which have relationship with regional logistics. Every key indicator has some sub-indicators. We evaluate regional logistic development of 31 provinces in mainland by the evaluation system, and then type them by analytic hierarchy process. Based on principal components, three factors were chosen. They can be roughly interpreted as requirement for logistics factor, logistical infrastructure factor and volume of logistic supply factor. The result will help government to enhance regional logistic development by efficient methods.

With the deterioration of the environment and climate, increasing number of people is starting to pay attention to low-carbon. The article stresses that with the emergence of low-carbon concept has put forward new requirements for the logistics mode of furniture industry to minimize the impact on environment and also keep the delivery service fast and efficient. This paper analyzes the logistics mode used by IKEA and its characteristics based on the existing logistics modes commonly used in furniture industry and taking IKEA as an example. The paper then presents a method for the calculation of vehicles' carbon emissions during the distribution. Finally, combining the characteristics of the furniture industry, the paper summarizes some suggestions on how to achieve a low carbon logistics of the furniture industry.

This paper emphasizes the safety investigation between newly developed tour projects by considering the traffic safety impact factors of new developed tour project as the goal. By illustrating the traffic accidents in Mianyang China as the example, the paper highlighted the traffic safety impact factors in mountainous areas in the Southwest of Chin. For this purpose, an Interpretive Structural Model was made to demonstrate the relationship of the factors. Finally, the article summarizes the basic meaning of Interpretive Structural Model and brings forward the suggestion of research in the evaluation indexes.

The article proposes that traffic-induced emissions pose a serious threat to air quality in many metropolises. The paper stresses that the urban transport planning must be conducted under the constraint of environment. As the traffic flow on the urban roads usually is the mixed traffic flow, there is a need to analyze the mixed traffic volume to implement unified standard of the vehicles. That is, the different kinds of vehicle can be converted to the Passenger Car Equivalents (PCE). Many researches put forward the PCE based on the road traffic capacity. In this paper, the conception of vehicle equivalent conversion coefficients based on the emission is presented. The PCE based on the emission is calculated according to the emission concentration variation when some kind of vehicle is added into the traffic flow. Finally, the PCE based on the emission is recommended taking the field measurement data from Yangpu District of Shanghai as the case.

This paper analyzes changes of the logistics development and economic growth from 1978 to 2007 in Sichuan Province. The paper develops a VAR (Vector Auto regression) model of logistics development and economic growth. In addition, this paper applies impulse response function and variance decomposition to portray the correlations between Development of Economic and Logistics. The results show that there exists a strong positive response between them. Therefore, under the current conditions accelerating pace of logistics is the fundamental approach choice to promote the economic development in Sichuan province.

The paper proposes that Regional Logistics mainly provides service to regional industry clusters. In addition, it emphasizes that Regional Logistics is an important part of regional industrial chain and even global industrial chain. By analyzing industrial linkage effect and symbiotic effect, this paper intends to show how important regional logistics are and what kind of role they play in regional economic development. An empirical research into the present state of the industries in Beijing which is China's largest non-port trade center demonstrates that local logistics industry is a pillar as well as a bottleneck of the city's economic development. Thus, the best way to meet the needs of regional industry clusters is to launch manufacturing logistics service.

With the rapid development of port, the negative influences such as the resources occupation, environmental pollution have become immensely serious. Therefore evaluating the green contribution of port to city systematically from the economic, resource and environmental perspective has become an important problem to seek the overall balance between port and urban development. In the paper, the economic promotion, resource consumption, pollution treatment, and environmental loss are taken into the accounting system of port's economic contribution based on the green concept. In addition, the green contribution evaluation model is established. This model is verified by the evaluation of the green contribution of Shanghai port to city froml999 to 2008. The results indicate that the model proposed in the present paper can make up the lack of traditional method which focuses on the positive effects of the economy and ignores the negative impact of resource and environment. Therefore, the model can evaluate the green contribution of port to city comprehensively and objectively.

The accelerating process of economic globalization and upgrading of port and city have formed an interactive development system. The development of port is a pre-requisite for the rapid development of city economy. However port-related activities will consume a lot of resources and have negative impact on the environment. This paper establishes a system dynamics model of the interaction between port and city based on the green concept in order to describe the relations between port and city systematically taking into account the economic promotion, resource consumption and environmental pollution. This model is applied to the port and city system of Shanghai to analyze the interactive relation of economy, resource and environment quantitatively. On this basis, the interactive development situations are simulated after considering the measures of restructuring industry, increasing investment on port, saving energy and reducing emission respectively. Finally, the results show that this system dynamics model can reflect the interactive relations between port and city objectively and provide quantitative decision support for sustainable development.

In the rapidly changing environment, the flexibility is important for logistics projects to make investment decision. Based on analysis of uncertainty in logistics investment projects, the common value is comparatively analyzed between logistics project and real-option. The model based on real option pricing is established to make investment decision for the logistics project. By analyzing logistics project investment, empirical studies are used to develop the investment decision-making method. Studies in this paper show that logistics project decision-making methods using option pricing theory take full account of potential investment value of investment projects, so it can effectively deal with the investment decision-making in the environment of uncertainty, and make investment decision-making more scientific.

Investigations on the determinants of regional growth differences demonstrated broad social significance in circulation industry. The paper researches on the productivity factors that are expected to highlight the factors, ways and the extent they affect the regional development of circulation industry. The empirical results indicated that factor input is still the main source of growth in circulation industry whereas the capital investment and technology progress are the other two major factors responsible for advance of China's circulation industry. Finally, the findings suggested that although regional differences of circulation industry among the 31 provinces and autonomous regions in China are still obvious but they are showing a trend of convergence.

As the exchange place, a city's economic function is to enhance the trade efficiency and promote the sustainable development of circulation test the relationship between urbanization and circulation industry is significant. The high-speed growth of China's economy implies that many economic variables are non-stationary but co-integration method and ECM model can be used to study the relationship among them. This paper uses ADL method to build a related ECM with yearly data of China. Finally, the results of the research indicate that the growth of urbanization helps to promote the circulation industry.

China is a major producer of citrus fruit but the export volume of China's citrus fruit is very small and only accounts for 3.7% of gross product. One important reason for this phenomenon is that TBT (Technical Barriers to Trade) which has hindered the citrus fruit's export. Firstly, we introduce the production and trade situation of Chinese citrus fruit and point out the problems existing in citrus fruit industry. China has the biggest annual production of citrus fruit in the world but a small export volume of the same. And main markets of our citrus fruit are in the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) and EU (European Union). Secondly, this paper compares TBT measures among America, Japan and EU and points out that these TBT measures have adverse influences on China's citrus fruit trade. Finally, certain policies proposals are discussed to cope up with TBT in this paper for example establishment rational quality standards and promotion of non-polluted production. Moreover, these countermeasures also can be used on the export of other fruits.

Although China, Japan and Korea are all located in the Northeast region of Asia, there is no land transportation network till date which impedes the development of the countries and the region. In order to overcome this problem, an effort to reach the continent through connection of land transport network between South Korea and North Korea has been made, but its promotion becomes uncertain due to several reasons, so a new plan of building an undersea tunnel to connect China, Korea and Japan has been put forward recently. Future freight demand to use the Northeast Asian undersea tunnel network showed that 19% of freights between China and Korea, 31% between Korea and Japan and 4% between China and Japan will use the undersea tunnel. In addition, it is expected that economic spillover effect, logistics cost reduction effect and low carbon transportation network effect from construction of the undersea tunnels will be very large. Consequently, building undersea tunnels in Northeast Asian region will be very important logistics corridor to play great roles for economic development of the Northeast Asia in the future.

In order to ensure the safety of fresh agricultural products and to promote information sharing among companies inside the supply chain, among supply chains and the public outside, reverse tracking can be achieved by constructing a traceability system. This helps in transparency in the operations of supply chain to be more transparent and optimization of the structure of agricultural supply chain. Due to the influences from factors like constructing cost, revenue and policy during constructing traceability system, it is difficult to decide whether to construct a traceability system in the supply chain of fresh agricultural products for the government and companies. This paper firstly conducts thorough analysis of the characteristics of fresh agricultural products and factors that impact the constructing traceability system of fresh agricultural products. Then, a decision-making model based on Game Theory is established to help the implementation and development of traceability system of fresh agricultural products.

This paper discusses Police Patrol Problem with emergency responses. A two-level optimization model is developed according to the new requirements for police patrol in modern society. Firstly, an allocation plan with elusive patrol routes is designed. Secondly, multiple coverage and urgent hierarchical response are realized. In addition, two numerical examples based on branch and bound algorithms are presented to show the optimization results. Finally, the application of the model is introduced and conclusions are derived in the end.

With the development of social economy and technology, the transportation is striding forward from single mode to diversification and harmonious multimode of comprehensive transportation system. The whole process of cargo flow is often completed with several means of transport. The paper emphasizes that the key to realize seamless linking up in regional logistics is rational transportation organization on the basis of shared logistics service system of integrating all types of transportation. To provide assistance for selecting transportation mode more efficiently, economically and rationally, this paper discusses the framework of the subsidiary decision system of transportation mode selection in regional logistics based on multi-agent and analyzes the structure and functions. Finally, the processing flow is discussed which aims at the optimization objectives, constraints and the feasibility of applying mobile agent.

The concept of lean logistics not only includes the principle of high quality with low cost but also includes the essence thoughts, namely, pull system, just-in-time, persistent reform and emphatic coordination. Most of existing model designs for the subcontract usually considers the single task of sharing the logistics profits used to stimulate distributors. In the paper, the harmony and cooperation in supply chain are emphasized in the application of lean logistics with an aim to realize the whole profits of the logistics supply chain. On the other hand, most of existing studies only considers the one-to-one relation but the manufacturing enterprise often relate to numerous distributors. On the basis of the lean logistics theory, the paper then designs the subcontract of multi-distributor and multi-task from the view of multi-task principal-agent model to stimulate distributors efficiently and realize the whole target of the logistics supply chain.

The complexity and high uncertainty of reverse logistics have brought great difficulties to the reasonable operation and decision-makings of each supply chain node. Under the profits and costs analysis in the research of reverse logistics structure, there have been contradictions in the choice of sales take-back models. Through discussion of the after recall process—the nodes of processing plants, remanufacturers and renewable suppliers, and the path reliability between them, structure reliability of two take-back models have been analyzed. In different time of reverse logistics life cycle, there are different choices in decision making.

The risk of transportation of flammable and explosive goods by road transport cannot be ignored in the transport system. The author has established a model on route choice of flammable and explosive goods by road transport. Firstly, the author analyzed the interaction between transportation of flammable and explosive goods and sensitive targets of lines. Quantitative safety assessment method is used to calculate the extent of injury and scope of an accident during transport, which are used to assess injury severity and exposure of circuit sensitive targets (including the number of sensitive targets, type and distance and so on). Count and select sensitive targets in transport routes, make selection decisions on road transport routes of the inflammable and explosive goods provide reference for the road transport enterprises of the inflammable and explosive goods.

Taking the view point of logistics, this paper aimed at the historical town system of Chengdu Area. Even in the rapid growth in Chengdu area, the contemporary town system is established on a historical pattern very similar to the central place theory described. Based on the above observation, this paper employed the method of literature review, and quantitative analysis to find the law of the town system. It was found that the official mail roads formed the pattern of town system in this area. These roads were constructed as a main transportation system, who took the function of the logistics and transportation communication. The conclusion is that the town system in the Chengdu area is a typical case of the trade communication, which can be interpreted by the central place theory model of traffic principle. The town system is a great heritage for Chengdu area and also a best case to verify the central place theory.

This paper presents a practical model DHGF for risk assessment of the logistics park by combining Delphi, Analytic Hierarchy Progress, Grey Interconnect and Fuzzy Evaluating. A model is used for the risk assessment of the logistics park for planning, construction and operation, then their feasibility, effectiveness, risk control and preventive measures response in each stage of Logistics Park are all given.

Customer behavior plays a very important role in the corporate decision making. In the paper, we use the EMSR-b heuristic algorithm to analyze the capacity allocation problem based on consumer choice behavior. Firstly, we analyze the capacity allocation decisions of traditional independent demand and "buy up" behavior. Secondly,we analyze the same problem based on customer choice behavior and consider two levels and multi-levels situation and then amend it by application of EMSR-b heuristic algorithm. Finally, the results show that the capacity allocation decisions based on customer choice behavior can increase the revenue. In addition, the application of EMSR-b algorithm can increase more revenue and the price elasticity of customer choice behavior will affect the decision i.e. the smaller the elasticity coefficient, the more resources allocation to the high-level and the more is the revenue.

The financial crisis of 2008–2009 led to a considerable transformation in China changing their product markets to domestic. Compared with mature international logistics companies, domestic companies cannot meet the business development needs in the service level, scope, content, and technical skill. Taking Shantou city as an example, this paper will address these issues and put forward constructive suggestions for the development of logistics enterprises. Those suggestions that include improving the professional level of logistics services, integrating the project contents of logistics services, expanding the business scope of logistics services, provide more standardized and flexible service by means of information technology and establishing a strategic alliance relation with business or industry.

Logistics is the key to making the logistics service supply chain system more competitive, efficient and speedy. In this paper, we endeavor to study integrator selection in logistics service supply chain. We design the index system of integrator selection from five aspects: the integration, coordination, reliability, service quality and range of service. As the subjectivity of the evaluation index system, we build grey hierarchy evaluation model, which combines grey evaluation and AHP.

From the experiences of United States, Japan and other developed countries, the logistics industry has received a long and fast development period which will be a steady development industry. In contrast, in China, the theory and practice of logistics industry is just getting started and it is not consistent with the important role of logistics industry which is played in the national economy. This paper studies the development course of logistics industry in United States, Japan and other developed countries to identify the evolution law of logistics industry in different stages. This paper uses Logistic curve model to simulate the life cycle of logistics industry in China, predicts the extreme point time and inflection point time of logistics industry in China and further analyzes the prediction results based on the life-cycle theory of industry. The results of the study show that the logistics industry is presenting S-trend in China, which accords with the general forms of industrial life cycle. The logistics industry is in between the growth stage and mature stage at present in China and it is due to the uneven regional development which leads the transition period to be a longer time. According to the development stage of logistics industry, there is a need to formulate reasonable development strategies of the stage.

Tangshan port transportation and port logistics industry have progressed quickly in recent years but there is still a big gap between Tangshan Port and the other big ports. Tangshan port enjoys resource advantage, industry advantage and policy support advantage. The paper discusses Tangshan Port logistic development models. The research proposes the port regional logistics system model and the virtual supply chain logistics system model which have proved to be a realistic choice recently. Along with relevant national support and the introduction of relevant supporting policy, the port logistics development model could be timely turn to zone and port bonded logistics joint integrated model or international shipping center mode. Finally, the following countermeasures were discussed: Deepening of port reform, separate government functions from enterprise management gradually, expansion of infrastructure construction financing, acceleration of the pace of infrastructure construction; improvement of the information centers and logistics center construction and formulation of a well-developed logistics standard and management system.

By using DEA analytical method, a mode for efficiency evaluation of regional logistic development is built. The input index and output index in the evaluation index system are established. Additionally, the efficiency of regional logistic development in 31 prefectural and municipal cities in the east of China from 1997 to 2008 is evaluated and analyzed.

This paper mostly according to the thought of the revenue management uses category management, making an effective commodity classification strategy. It aims at making the variability inventory management of the different contribution of goods. Then with making models, we figure out these problems about order point, order amount and maximized inventory level and so on. So the enterprise can reduce the inventory level as far as possible and develop the efficiency of logistics system by controlling the inventory level on the assumption of meeting the demand of target customers.

The paper first proposes the main logistics modes in retailing and then an evaluation system for the logistics modes is established. From viewpoint of the evaluation principles, use AHP evaluation method to analyze the importance of each influence factor for logistics mode of a retailing company. Finally, it reaches a conclusion that the methodology for deciding the importance order of influence principle.

With the rapid development of biomass energy industry in China, the research on supply chain coordination, in terms of structure and operational features, has significant theoretical and practical meaning. Current domestic research has not conducted any in-depth studies of contract theory in "company + farmer" model that demonstrate the characteristics of biomass supply chain operations. This paper, applies information economy, game theory and other related methods, and uses the modified reward and punishment feedback contract based on asymmetric information under the "company + farmer" model in the supply chain of biomass fuel. Considering the asymmetric information of this model, the key parameters were determined to build an improved model, which reflected the characteristics of biomass fuel supply chain operation. Moreover, the study established an optimal coordination strategy to promote the comprehensive benefits and the overall competitiveness in the sector of Chinese biomass energy industry.

At present, in the absence of quantitative research of the process control for the emergency management of hazardous material logistics, such as fire, the process of scheduling and other emergency supplies has not been developed. Hierarchical Holographic Modeling (HMM) is a kind of comprehensive thinking and methodology, which aims to capture and show different characteristics inherent in a system. Multi-level hub-and-spoke logistics network is a special form of regional logistics and has been developed to a certain degree. Its construction should match with the development of regional economies. With the purpose of deducing cost and improving the efficiency of regional logistics, the paper has constructed and optimized a logistics network based on the data of regional economies. By using a set of cities as hub nodes with multi-levels according to the freight volume the calculated results were compared to the traditional network of single-level hub nodes which proves that the model with multi-level hub nodes is more economical and efficient.

Advances in communication, automatic vehicle location, and geographic information system technologies have made available several types of real-time information which benefits commercial vehicle operations. However, most routing decisions or diversion plans in research literature are based on the current traffic situation and little attention is paid to the future. Such kinds of greedy strategy consistently suggest en route diversion at any point where the alternative route choice is better than the ongoing one. Hence, in the constantly varying real world, excessive diversions may appear and are much likely to create a sort of `zigzag' effect, eventually leading to a higher cost. Thus, a forward-looking diversion strategy considering both real-time and future information is proposed. This paper evaluates the potential benefits, limitations and difficulties of several diversion strategies in response to different information under a real road network, and the selected results derived from simulation are described. The research will help logistics companies to assess the benefits of in-vehicle route-guidance system in their day-to-day operations.

ISM is a method that can be applied to a system to better understand both direct and indirect relationships among the system's components. By adopting the tool of Interpretive Structural Modeling(ISM) methodology, this paper analyzes the influencing barrier factors of government procurement performance and makes its classification in level, and then proposes the ISM model of influencing barrier factors of government procumbent performance. Through this model, we can see the leading factors of optimization for government procurement and the mutual influences among the barrier factors and give some suggestions.

In this paper, a retailers' demand stimulating effort game model which involves two competing heterogeneous retailers and demand sensitive to prices is constructed. The paper examines the effect of the wholesale price on the retailers' demand stimulating efforts, retail pricing and profits of both retailers and manufacturer. We show that the manufacturer benefits from the retailers' demand stimulating innovation efforts and market competition. The innovation efforts increase the retailers' profits at the beginning, when their effort abilities are high enough and the innovation efforts decrease their profits owing to their competition. Finally, the paper proposes a compound contract of channel coordination based on quantity-discount schedule.

The reserve of disaster relief supplies meets not only scientific storage disciplines, but also economic laws. This study divides disaster events into two types: recurrent disasters and attempted disasters. However, how to satisfy these two laws simultaneously in both types of relief material reserves is something that is still to be analyzed. It's by means of adopting different models of relief material reserves does this research resolves this problem. To start with, it constructs general model of relief supplies reserves. And then on the foundation of the two type theory mentioned above, the paper proposes corresponding models. At last, via case analysis, it certifies the two models' rationality and feasibility.

The lot-sizing problem arising from steel production process is cold rolling which consists of one main facility and several downstream facilities has been considered in this paper. In the production process, storages have capability as well as limitations and facilities must be run continuously. A mathematical model is built, and a rule-based heuristics algorithm is developed to solve the problem. The efficiency of the algorithm is proved by simulated data from a real continuous production process.

The development of Chinese cold storage chain logistics is relatively backward which affects the food industry. Cold store is the key part of cold storage chain. The flow field is an important technological parameter in cold store. A three dimensional mathematical model was established to study the flow of field distribution inside a cold store. The results are testified by experiments. Some rules are discovered. It is revealed that the optimal inlet air velocity is in the range of 3–5m/s for a cold store. The results will provide an important help on the technical development of the cold storage chain logistics in China.

Modern logistics about transportation and deployment of vehicles continues to be a significant theme today. As an inevitable trend of urban transportation system, APTS (Advanced Public Transportation Systems) a new and an effective way to solve modern logistics problem. The characteristics of APTS with scale, time and distance benefits are able to meet the demand of modern logistics management. In this paper, the application of APTS to logistics management is analyzed from four aspects, real-time traffic information supply, vehicle monitor, driving safety, and supply chain combination. Then, the concept of a new system framework to combine APTS and logistics is proposed. At last several policies that target the synergetic development of public transportation and logistics are put forward, which involves the junction of the transportation facilities and logistics nodes the establishment of public information platform, and formation of rational benefit distribution.

In order to effectively play the advantages of simplex method, enhance evaluation integrity, science and rationality. The combined evaluation method combines multiple simplex methods' results. This paper uses rough sets theory to determine the weight of each method for combining evaluation constructs the combined evaluation model of evaluating regional logistics development level and uses this model to evaluate and sort the eighteen regional cities logistics development of Henan Province in 2009.

Logistics is the arteries of the national economic development and basic industry, but also is the accelerator of the national economic development, it is very important to study the relationship between logistics input and output to impel the development of logistics and economy. Based on the lots of reading relevant documents, the author took logistics investment, logistics network mileage and logistics employees represent the logistics industry input level, took logistics industry product value represent logistics output level as studying objects, it used unit root test, Granger causality test, co-integration test, ECM methods and so on, to analyze empirically the relationship between logistics input and output in Jilin province. The results show that the four time series (logistics industry investment, logistics networks mileage, logistics employees and logistics industry value) are the first-order single whole time series, which indicates that the four factors are subject to the pre-affected, and has a strong inertia. There is a one-way causal relationship between logistics industry value and the logistics industry investment or logistics employees; logistics output in Jilin Province is the Granger reason of logistics industry investment and logistics employees. In a long run, there exists balanced and stable relationship between the logistics input and output, in a short run, logistics inputs also have a positive impact on output, and the deviation of the long-run balanced value is corrected at the rate 28.67%. From the overall analysis, there does not form a good interactive mechanism between the logistics industry inputs and outputs in Jilin Province.

In order to make the central and western regions undertake the industrial transfer from the eastern regions more smoothly. The Hoover coefficient, which is the system of industry agglomeration indicators, was used to analyze the current situation of the industry agglomeration in the eastern regions. The industry that can be understood by the central and the western regions is determined through analyzed the current situation of the industry agglomeration. Based on this, the right contact from the eastern regions to the central and western regions was deduced. The results indicate that analyze the Hoover coefficient to direct the industry agglomeration shift can get practical result.

With the development of biomass energy industry in China, the research of contract design, concerning biomass energy raw crop in "farmers + company" model, is significant both practically and theoretically. This paper, taking in the consideration of the practical situation between company and farmer in China, establishes a two-stage supply chain under the revenue-sharing model based on economics and game theory. And optimum order quantity with related coefficients is calculated under risk neutral case and downside-risk-averse case. This is followed by a numerical example to verify the research before. Ultimately, an optimal coordination strategy is concluded, which promotes the advance and development of biomass energy industry in China.

Green supply chain is an approach to promote business and social sustainable development. The Evolutionary Mechanisms of green supply chain constraints by Macro-Environment is studied and the conditions to guide enterprises to implement green supply chains are analyzed in the case of market mechanism and government macro-control by game evolution theory. At last, some recommendations are proposed to the government to guide the green supply chain management.

The selection and management of appropriate procurement model are fundamental to the success of a large-scale construction project (LSCP). This paper develops a classification model based on a set of three-dimensional index (index of asset specificity, index of reliance on project for supplier and index of supply risk) which concerns different properties of the engineering resources. Furthermore, based on the classification model, a better understanding of pluralistic procurement strategies in a LSCP is achieved.

In China, with development of family appliances logistics (FAL), and the policy "family appliances to the countryside", FAL costs become higher and the logistics supply chain needed to be changed. This paper proposes the idea of logistics value chain and logistics value chain alliances, which is constructed by the third-party logistics providers, family appliances manufactures, distributors and customers. On that basis, value chain management is considered as a method which can be introduced into FAL to cut down the logistics costs with "value creation", so that all the members in logistics value chain can gain the added value, i.e. logistics profits, which come from the reduced logistics costs. At the same time, all of the corporative partners in the logistics value chain will achieve win-win.

Based on collecting the data of national logistics undergraduate education, status and characteristics are analyzed. By searching for the reasons, several suggestions are promoted for the development of logistics undergraduate education.

This paper discusses the problem of making ticket price of urban rail transit and how second best method is used to alleviate this problem. It also gives an overview of the making ticket price of urban rail transit for commuters. In this paper, making ticket price of urban rail transit based on second best method with maximizing social welfare as the objective function and no deficit for the operator is represented. The specific distinction between consumer and non-consumers is given and an approach of making monthly and the general ticket price is made.

This paper focuses on vehicle scheduling problem (VSP) of emergency logistics which focuses on large demands with constraints of "increasing marginal vehicle recruitment cost (VRC)", "decreasing marginal shortage cost" being taken into consideration. It also proposes a mix objective based on the model of the shortest paths objective and the minimum relief time objective which are the heated researches in recent years. In the end, the result of the example testifies the feasibility of this model further.

Based on environmental logistics and supply chain, the thesis analyses reverse environmental logistics and builds, the evaluation system for it. In this thesis, combined the experts grading method and the relevance factor analyze method. An integrated model is built to guarantee the rationality of reserved logistics and supply chain environmental evaluation results.

The 43 textile and 23 garment enterprises were selected as the research object. Panel Data analysis method was used to thoroughly analyze the factors of inventory management in the supply chain in textile and garment industry from 1996 to 2006 and how the inventory management influenced the enterprise performance. The result revealed that the inventory turnover are negatively associated with gross margin, the inventory turnover are negatively associated with the ratio of inventory. And the inventory turnover are negatively associated with the lead time, the inventory turnover are positively associate with company size. After that, ROA is positively associated with the inventory turnover.

The status of arterial highway management in China cannot react to disaster in time. To change this situation, emergency logistics theory is introduced into the process of emergency management. Based on the aim of quick response, two emergency management mechanisms are found. One is disaster prediction management system, and the other is post-disaster emergency management system. Furthermore, the operating process of emergency management mechanisms and the essential functions of core management are studied. Finally, a location and allocation model is set up for solving the storage problems of emergency resource. The principle of daily maintenance resource in combination with emergency resource is specifically shown in the modeling ideas.

This paper examines the underlying dimensions and develops taxonomy of location strategies used by third-party logistics (3PL) firms in China based on survey data from 155 3PL firms. Four underlying location strategies are identified: economic infrastructure, economic cost, sit attributes, and market size. Three major groups of 3PL firms are identified based on location selection strategies: cost seeking, market seeking, and all seeking. This study provides valuable guidance and insights for managers in the location strategies in 3PL firms.

Based on this analyzing, a fuzzy stage recognition model of characteristic mapping theory was set up. And then, the objective and the science policy-making were put out.

In order to solve many businesses outsourcing decision problem, this paper proposes a new outsourcing decision method—three-stage outsourcing decision model. The first-stage constructs the outsourcing screening modes based on value creation to select the outsourcing collection from the angle of outsourcing companies. The second-stage identifies the outsourcing patterns of optional outsourcing businesses according to the finiteness of enterprise resources, linkage between business processes, the control cost and the risk of outsourcing. The third-stage puts forward outsourcing decision solutions according to the different patterns of businesses outsourcing decision problem. The innovation of this paper is that constructing the three-stage outsourcing decision model aimed at many businesses outsourcing decision problem. This paper finds that outsourcing decision in single outsourcing pattern is scheduling problem and outsourcing decision in packaged outsourcing pattern is combinatorial problem.

Weighing rail uses shearing force measurement method and wheel scan detection technology. It can realize effective monitoring of overload and unbalanced load. For improving dynamic weighing accuracy and detection speed of weighing rail, based on analyzing of wheel scan detection signal and traditional detection signal processing method's shortage, according to too short measuring section of weighing rail, Hilbert-Huang transform was proposed to deal with wheel scan detection signal data. Experience- based mode decomposition (EMD) algorithm was applied for the signal decomposition with MATLAB program, and weights of wheel were obtained by residue. The results show that for 83460kg loaded vehicle the detection speed of weighing rail is up to11m/s and weighing accuracy reaches ±0.4%. The detection speed is 2∼3 times that of past. Weighing accuracy is above national standards. It meets the needs of high efficiency and precision of dynamic measurement for logistics in current green logistics.

Humanitarian logistics represents a broad range of activities taking place within humanitarian organizations, the bulk of these activities are also components of a broader humanitarian supply chain - the network involved with providing physical aid to beneficiaries. there has been relatively limited application of trust in hastily formed networks, such as the humanitarian logistics network, which consists of a number of individual logisticians from a variety of organizations, coming together to bring relief to a disaster-stricken area. The aim of this paper is to further the understanding of swift trust in humanitarian logistics as a means of improving relief operations in rapid onset disasters.

In recent years, various disasters occur frequently in the world. Humanitarian logistics has received increasing interest from both logistics academics as well as practitioners. According to relevant literature, this paper elaborated the concept and characteristics of humanitarian logistics, analyzed the challenges and advantages of collaboration in Humanitarian logistics, introduced some collaboration mechanisms and pointed out future research directions.

This paper analyzes technology efficiency, pure technology efficiency and scale efficiency of diversified railway with DEAP Version 2.1. The empirical results show that, (1) the technology efficiency in total is low because of the pure technology inefficiency; (2) the scale inefficiency is the origin of inefficiency on eastern regions, and pure technical inefficiency is the origin of inefficiency on mid-western regions; (3) from total efficiency, the diversified railway with DEA efficiency is on mid-western regions. The diversified railway which is decreasing scale efficiency is all on eastern regions and about 90% mid-western regions are increasing scale efficiency.

By analyzing the reverse logistics network frame systemically, and considering the characters of home appliances and their practical operational model, this paper uses the goal of minimizing the sum of investment, operational and transportation costs to optimize reverse logistics network node of home appliances recycling. It establishes the optimization model of the reverse logistics network for the home appliances recycling. At the same time, it also testifies the effectiveness for the proposed algorithm to solve the reverse logistics network optimization problem with the example of Chongqing. Along with the life cycle of electronics becoming more and more shortened, large numbers of waste home appliances become the primary source of environmental pollution. For controlling worse environment and the need of sustainable development, developed countries such as Germany, America, have adopted Extended Producer Responsibility and defined the responsibilities of the home appliances reverse logistics channel members. But China has not set up a standardized system of waste home appliances recycling. A large number of waste home appliances are free to deal with cost of extended service, security risks, energy waste and environmental pollution, which is getting more serious. Therefore, the reverse recovery problem of waste home appliances is one of our problems to be solved. Recycling of waste home appliances cannot do without a proper reverse logistics network. Its logistics network design is reasonable to fundamentally determine the logistics management of waste home appliances recycling performance. Combining the characteristics of home and domestic appliances recovered the actual operation. This paper analyses reverse logistics network of waste home appliances systemically, establishes the reverse recovery logistics network optimization model of home appliances optimizes and selects the reverse logistics network nodes of home appliances recycling.

In this article, in order to optimize emergency logistics system for post-earthquake, a stochastic dynamic LRP model on relief distribution centers was developed by considering dynamic characteristics of emergency logistics networks in post-earthquake. According to the characteristics of the model, the paper proposes an improved genetic algorithm based on dynamic programming. The authors adopt a special real-valued coding scheme and a punished function method to deal with restriction in model. The results of a numerical example show that the proposed model and algorithm can resolve relief distribution centers location-allocation and vehicle routing problem in post-earthquake emergency logistics systems efficiently, and it can help the government agencies provide assistance in decision-making.

The sustainable development of highway freight terminal has attracted the attention of scholars home and abroad. Firstly the attributes and characteristics of highway freight terminal are analyzed. This paper reports the evolutionary process of highway freight terminal. Based on Small World Effect, vertex degree and clustering coefficient are adopted to describe the evolutionary process. It is concluded that the highway freight terminal appears in a disorganized mode based on road transport parking. Facing new challenges, highway freight terminal is attempting to transform to the logistics park. Finally the cost and revenue of freight stations are discussed. It indicates that it becomes more cost-effective during the evolutionary process.

Growing environmental concerns have motivated businesses to carefully assess the environmental impact of their products and services at all stages of a life-cycle. Reverse logistics plays an important role in achieving "green supply chains". Based on green supply chain theory, the paper focuses on the automotive manufacturers to select the most appropriate reverse logistics provider for End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and pooled take-back model. The authors conducted questionnaire survey to automotive manufacturers and interviewed logistics experts. Then, the paper established supplier evaluation index system for ELVs in reverse logistics and put forward evaluation model based on extension evaluation for selecting prior supplier using a combination of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and extension-based approach. Finally, the proposed approach is validated by one numerical example and a satisfactory result is obtained. In addition, it provides scientific basis and a new way for automotive manufacturers to select suppliers in reverse logistics.

Using the basic knowledge of random process and queuing theory, we analyze the parameters and performance of Erlang queuing model and present the scope of the application in distribution center design. Through computation of examples and researches, multi-queuing model provides the theory basis for customer's organization, and also meets the requirements of the consumer's information. Thus the distribution center can be designed more efficiently and a promising result can be obtained.

A new method for a spatial stationary random vibration analysis of train-bridge system subjected to track irregularity excitations is proposed. The vehicle is modeled as a four-wheel mass-spring-damper system with two layers of suspension system possessing 15 degrees of freedom. The bridge is modeled as a space beam, and the track irregularities are assumed to be uniformly modulated evolutionary random processes with the phase-lags between the wheels taken into account. Pseudo-Excitation Method (PEM) is applied to transform the random surface roughness of the track into the superposition of a series of deterministic pseudo harmonic surface evenness. Numerical examples are given. Compared with the Monte Carlo simulations show the effectiveness and satisfactory accuracy of the proposed method. Estimated boundaries for the maximum responses of the train-bridge coupled system have been obtained using the 3σ rule.

Dynamic responses of bridge and vehicle become major concern for engineers in designing high speed railway bridges. This paper illustrates the numerical analysis method for solving the coupled interaction of bridge-vehicle with an example of high speed railway and passenger vehicle. Equations of motion of vehicle and bridge are given in detail. Finally the dynamic responses of the example are obtained for evaluating the method.

The existing studies on local stress analysis usually simplify the compression bearing into two-way bearing, which cannot precisely simulate the interaction of beam and bearings and its influences on the section. In this paper, taking Jianbang cable stayed bridge as an example, in order to simulate precisely, contact element is introduced to simulate the interaction between bearings and beam. The fraction force, compression together with deflection would counterbalance the external forces, which otherwise needs to be counterbalanced by tension offered by constrain, making the analysis result reasonable. Results are also obtained from simplified method—regarding tension free bearing as two-way bearing. Finally, two sets of result reveal that the interaction is weak.

Vehicle-bridge interaction analysis is executed to the five kinds of control pier type of the bridge which is 10m span continuous 32m box-shaped simply supported beam taking the time-domain track irregularity sample transformed by the low interference spectrums and German ICE3 which is high-speed distributed-power train as system incentive. The lateral acceleration, the vertical acceleration, the derailment coefficient, rate of wheel load reduction and Sperling comfortableness are discussed in this paper

For reinforced piers, simplified method of ductility-based seismic design provided by Chinese "Code for Seismic Design of Railway Engineering" is presented in the paper. For eccentrically compressed member with rectangular section, simplified formula for calculating curvature ductility coefficient is deduced theoretically. Combined with formulas for calculating the equivalent length of plastic hinge in relevant codes by New Zealand, USA and CEN, the formula for displacement ductility coefficients is obtained. Illustrated by a case of the Xishansi Bridge in Dali-Ruili railway line, displacement ductility coefficients of rectangular hollow piers with different reinforcement ratio are calculated. The results calculated by the Chinese Code and theoretical formula suggested are basically identical. It is shown that the proposed formula is efficient, and helpful for similar pier design.

Warehouse receipt as collateral is a basic operation mode of the Logistics Finance concerning the banks. The core of the problem is to determine the reasonable collateral loan rate in order to achieve effective control of risks. At present, a large number of banks have adopted the basic method of experience value in the case of selecting pledge rates, which can not be used to avoid the risk of collateral value of loans. Based on the introduction of the conditional value at risk (CVaR), this paper proposes a dynamic control model for the risk of value in the loans of collateral. Empirical analysis shows that the proposed model could be used to avoid the risk of collateral value of loans of warehouse receipts and provide a dynamic decision-making basis. This model also has a strong promotional value in the Logistic Finance.

A model for comprehensive evaluation of highway traffic safety was established based on variable fuzzy set method combined with the index system. In the model the membership degrees and relative membership functions belonging to the ranking ranges of all indicators involved in highway traffic safety were determined. The model was used to evaluate the highway traffic safety, and the comparison of the evaluation results using this proposed method with other methods shows that this model relies on simple calculations to enhance confidence in the results with high credibility. This example enriches the field of study and has widespread value for potential application.

The steel-anchor beam and steel corbel composite structure is the new type structure in the anchor zone on pylon of cable-stayed bridge. The steel corbel has an important supporting effect on the entire system. In order to investigate the structural behaviors of this type of structure, a full scale model test and 3D FEM analysis were conducted. From the experimental study, it could be found that the bearing load requirements for steel corbel in the structure can be satisfied. The stress is bigger at the welds of the steel corbel, and the stress is less in the far area from the welds. The analysis results show that the stiffened plates can effectively reduce the stress concentration of the steel corbel and the calculating results coincide with the experimental results. Moreover, the capacity of resisting design load and eccentric load is higher. It can be concluded that this new structure is advantageous in mechanical behaviors, and should be more widely studied and applied.

This paper focuses on Railway Pallet Pool System which could reduce the transportation cost of empty pallets. First of all, the concept, operation model and operation process of a railway pallet pool system will be briefly discussed. Then, the architecture and the security framework of a railway pallet pool information system based on grid technology will be proposed because the effective implementation of a railway pallet pool system needs an information system to support. The architecture includes seven tiers from the bottom to the top which is resource tier, middle tier, resource agent tier, application tier, decision tier, interface tier and security framework. The security framework includes five tiers from the bottom to top, which are node tier, adaptation tier, base tier, service tier and interface tier. Both of the architecture and security framework of the railway pallet pool information system are in accord with OGSA.

The speed of logistics infrastructure investment in Central China is still lower than other regions since the rise of the central region strategy was put forward. And the ratio of freight turnover is also low. The analysis of the relations, in the central region, between logistics of investment in fixed assets, logistics value-added and GDP found that three variables exist in co-integration relation. It was also found that the investment in logistics infrastructure was the granger reason for the GDP; the investment in logistics infrastructure and logistics value-added was the granger reason for each other. According to the analysis, some counter measures should be undertaken, are as follows: accelerate the speed of logistics investment, optimize logistics environment, promote the logistics capability and reduce logistics cost, etc.

The operation and management mode of existing railway has not really helped in the development of Passenger Dedicated Line, a series of problems were exposed. This research paper is about the overbooking problem of the Passenger Dedicated Line in China. After analyzing the problem and setting some hypothesis, an optimization model was found which is considered both economic benefit and social profit. The model cannot be solved analytically, so we used MATLAB software to carry out numerical calculation and analyzed the result. Finally, further exploration to the issues of overbooking in Passenger Dedicated Line was made.

A Flexible Manufacturing System is made up of several numerical control processing equipments, material storage system and computer control system. It is a fully automated machinery manufacturing system. The Flexible Manufacturing System has the benefits of the flexible operation and great adaptability in production, so many advanced manufacturing enterprises treated it as the preferred mode of production. A logistics subsystem is one of the most important parts in the Flexible Manufacturing System. It plays the role of controlling the storage and transportation process of the work piece, while the work piece should be in a reliable state in computer processing equipments during the process and is the necessary condition for ensuring the normal storage and transportation of materials. It mainly depends on the computer numerical control processing equipments whether in the normal working condition or not. This article is based on the computer numerical control manufacturing equipments. According to the analysis of dynamic characteristic of the computer numerically controlling machines, the author investigates the way of how to choose the best cutting parameter in case of the machine vibration which plays the negative impact on the precision processing of the workpiece in order to ensure the Flexible Manufacturing System in the normal operate condition. All of this will provide a favorable security for the logistics transportation subsystem.

In order to understand the safety characteristics of continuous downgrade segment in two-lane highway, some investigations and analyses were done. The data we collected included accident data, geometric data, driveway data, roadside data of G110 highway in Beijing. Road accident data collected was from 2002 to 2004. This paper illustrated the spatial patterns of geometric and accident data using distributing analysis and road accident hotspots identification. The Poisson modeling technique was also used to deliver the compositive relation of the traffic accident occurrence, traffic composing and driveway density in continuous downgrade segment. The estimation results can enhance our understanding of the road character of accident hotspots, the effect of reverse grade, and the compositive character in continuous downgrade segment in two-lane highway.

In order to study the choice of flow control strategies of pre-timed control under different mainline and ramp volume, the research on adaptability of the three different flow control strategies (single-lane one vehicle per green, single-lane two vehicle per green, single-lane three vehicle per green) has been done using microscopic traffic simulation software-Vissim5.0. Through the comparison of expressway operation indexes under the three flow control strategies, the adaptability and the reference for the choice of pre-timed flow control strategies have been obtained.

To propose that the non-linear effect between the subsystems of passenger traffic corridor system is the essence drive to urban passenger traffic system evolvement. Finally the urban passenger traffic corridor system evolvement model has been given taking the capacity of passenger traffic corridor, traffic corridor volumes as parameters, find out the demand, and supply balance of corridor by analyzing the model's stability, which is useful in holding the urban passenger traffic corridor system evolvement.

The logistics field and spatial agglomeration theory are applied in the research of logistics corridor spatial agglomeration. It outlined the meaning of logistics effect field and spatial agglomeration. It also analyzed the agglomeration and radiation characters of logistics effect field. Then on the basis, it presented the mechanisms of logistics channel spatial concentration through node model, line model and plane model of logistics effect field. After the comparison among the three models above, it proposed the clustering models of logistics corridor and space structure.

Tunnel structure was seriously damaged in the earthquake region at 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake. It had seriously affected the disaster relief and post-disaster reconstruction. Therefore, higher seismic behavior of tunnel structure is required. Twin-arch double-deck tunnel is a new tunnel structure. The study on seismic behavior of twin-arch double-deck tunnel is very little. Relying on twin-arch double-deck tunnel of Longhui road in Zigong city, its seismic behavior was studied. It shows that the tunnel structure can meet the force requirements before the seismic load is applied; Although the unfavorable changes of structure stress has happened after application seismic load, tunnel structure still met the force requirements. Research results provide references for design and application of twin-arch double-deck tunnel.

This paper introduces the composition and function of a kind of palletizing robot to carry and stack the boxes of TV sets. Kinematics analysis of palletizer is conducted based on D-H method and geometric method. The parametric variation for each joint of links is derived according to the demand of palletizer workspace. The control system of robot is provided.

This paper mainly discussed how to use optimize the toolbox of Matlab to optimize the cross-section configuration of four-track tunnel, which has not had standard drawing yet. Cross-section above rail level adopted three-centered arch styles. In order to minimize excavation volume, sectional area above rail level (marked S) was set for object function, and parameters describing cross-section configuration (marked R₁, R₂, φ₁, φ₁, a, b, c) were set for design variables. Object function is non-linear to design variables, and among design variables there are some restrictions. Fmincon, an inner function in optimization toolbox of Matlab was employed to derive the minimal value of object function. By the result, when R₁ = 11160mm, R₂ = 10252mm, a= 619mm, b = 1116mm, c=758mm, φ₁ =56.7°, φ₂ = 39.5°, object function was minimized to 208.51 square meters.

ATC (apparent tardiness cost) and ATCS (apparent tardiness cost with setups) are generally applied in parallel machine scheduling, where the total weighted tardiness is usually regarded as the objective function. ATCS considers setup time on the basis of ATC, so the objective function value of ATCS is better than that of ATC. Most research results have indicated this point, but few scholars have put forward different views. This paper has made a further analysis according to the theoretical studies which have been made before. First, it discusses the calculation procedures of the two rules and considers the internal and external factors of them by assuming that these factors are likely to affect the results. Then, it identifies these factors through case analysis and computer simulation. Finally, the conclusion is drawn — only if these factors meet certain conditions, can the objective function value of ATCS be better than that of ATC.

One of the most booming parts of the logistics market, the freight agency plays an important role in the enhancement of information exchange and the improvement of economic efficiency. However, as an independent economic body, its varied and scattered organization impedes on the pace at which logistics networks is built. Focusing on the relationship between the lorry, freight agency, and goods owner, this paper presents the development method of the logistics information exchange platform based on the freight agency using the computer terminal, mobile phone, personal digital assistant (PDA), and touch screen as information interactive tool. The developed system has been applied for the logistics market in Hanzheng Street, Wuhan, and its operation results show that it can meet the needs of traders and pertinent commercial activities.

With the increase of people's time value, the distribution service is asked for being more punctual. But on the links there are many factors whose interactions engender fluctuations in traffic flow. The fluctuations bring the changes in delivery travel time. In this paper, two assumptions on the rule of flow fluctuations are included. The first one is that the variance of everyday's flow is described as dual-peak Gauss distribution in macroscopic view. The second one postulate that the changes of every moment flows obey Passion distribution in microscopic view. Combining link flows with traffic capacity and using the function of Bureau of Public Road (BPR), the link/links travel time (LTT) can be calculated. Then, the function of path travel time (PTT) is established based on the network flow thinking. Finally, the reliability of delivery travel time is derived through simulation method. A case study verifies that this model and method is feasible and practical. The reliability may be applied to choose optimal route and determine the lead time for delivery.

Hydrodynamic retarder is a kind of auxiliary brake apparatus applied in transport vehicles. The size of brake torque is the key factor of the working effect of hydrodynamic retarder. When the operating pressure which controls system loading is certain, the key factor effecting hydrodynamic retarder's braking torque is the geometric parameter of stator and rotor impellor. Therefore, based on exact full-port modeling, conduct numerical simulations of flow field inside hydrodynamic retarder in different geometrical parameters by CFD, analyze the pressure and speed distribution, braking torque in work chamber with different geometric parameter. Finally, the relation between geometric parameter and braking torque, which can provide a theoretical reference for the design of hydrodynamic retarder, is summarized.

An economical, efficiency transportation can reduce the cost of the logistics industry. In order to improve the performance of the transport system, a superconducting electromagnetic drive system is introduced. In this concept, the propulsion force comes from interaction between an electromagnetic field produced by drive coil and the currents in the armature coil. The simulation results indicate that high efficiency can be obtained through the use of superconducting coil and proper design of the parameters of the system. The electromagnetic drive system is concluded to be one important choice for future transport applications because of its high efficiency.

The heating process of the cargo oil during transportation significantly impacts the boiler fuel consumption onboard oil tanker. To find methods of how to scientifically to determine the cargo oil heating time is the key to save energy during oil transportation. This paper analyzes the heating and thermal insulation process of 300 kinds of cargo oil onboard, 7 types of double-hull oil tanker of Dalian Ocean Shipping Co. In addition the theoretical analysis, test verification and actual application onboard, the influence of heat transfer mechanism, cargo oil physical properties and external factors to cargo oil heating and thermal insulation process are studied. Based on the non-steady-state lumped parameter method and taking into account five variables such as loaded capacity, ballast water, ship voyage record, hydro graphic-meteorology and heating steam parameters, optimized cargo oil heating and thermal insulation mathematical model were established. Finally, the calculation software and practical manual were developed. The optimized cargo oil heating system is currently used on 60000 DWT, 65000DWT, 68000DWT, 72000DWT, 75000 DWT, 110000DWT and 159000DWT oil tankers in Dalian Ocean Shipping Co. For one year's application, 4500 tons of oil fuel was saved. The implementation of this project in the company upgraded the scientific management level of cargo oil heating.

Crane generally consists of hoisting mechanism, traveling mechanism, luffing mechanism, slewing mechanism and metal structures. Luffing mechanism is a most important part of crane. Double-link luffing mechanism is broadly used in port and harbor crane. Portal slewing cranes are very important equipments of port and harbor operation of logistics. In fact, there are great difficulties in portal slewing crane design. Developing a new portal slewing crane, kinds of cranes may be analyzed and studied. Inverse design and reverse engineering is one of innovative and creative activities. Based on inverse design principle, kinematics analysis of double-link luffing mechanism of portal slewing crane is studied and realized on MATLAB.

Previous research on coordinated optimization of transportation-inventory seldom analyzed the effect of limited capacity of a single vehicle on logistics cost and there is a need for models involving it for better decision-making. This paper considers coordinated optimization of transportation-inventory model based on direct shipping policy in the loading area. The transportation-inventory model operates in the presence of uncertainty in demands and lead time. We develop the search procedure and iterative method to gain the optimal solution of the model. In the end, the sensitivity analysis with respect to the capacity of a single vehicle shows that savings can be realized when it is considered explicitly in the model.

This paper according to the practical conditions of the highway tunnel uses the basal contact friction experimental method, to analyze the deformation and failure mechanism of the tunnel on horizontal rock stratum. The result shows that the process of deformation and failure of the tunnel on horizontal rock stratum can be divided into four stages: tiny deformation, evident deformation, large deformation and local failure, structural failure. The process obviously has gradual and staggered features. Furthermore, for verifying the reliability of the physical simulation results, the finite element method (FEM) is used for comparison. The results show that it has good consistency.

For application of the lean production theory and pull principle in assembly plants and considering the holistic logistics process including its suppliers and customers a PFEP-oriented in-plant logistics planning (PLP) method for assembly plants is introduced in this paper. This method has been used for the in-plant logistics planning of one engine plant and shows that PLP method is an efficient planning method for the in-plant logistics planning for assembly plant.

The aim of load matching at truck is to make the truck cargo stowage reasonable in volume, weight and loading sequence of a distribution area. To raise efficiency of truck and to reduce costs of the distribution, an effectual truck stowage planning model is built. The model can equilibrate the truck cargo weight and the volume and make the transport resources more effective. The opinion of branch and bound method for use the truck load matching is proposed, which is an important technique for solving combinatorial search problems and can choose suitable cargo for truck in a short time. This technique is proved to be highly effective by examples.

Intersection is becoming the bottleneck of the urban road traffic operation. Based on the discussion of the opportunity of developing traffic control at intersections in vehicle infrastructure integration (VII) environment, by using structure analysis method, system architecture prototype of the urban road traffic control at intersection in VII was brought forward. Relative user demand, logical and physical architecture were also established in detail. Moreover, suggestions about the implementation steps of the architecture and relative guarantee and support measures were also given. This study extends to the field of traffic signal control, which will deeply improve the safety and efficiency of the intersection operation in urban area, and will be successful in the future.

Size effect rule for common concrete fracture toughness was obtained from the analysis of common concrete fracture test results by wedge splitting fracture experiment. Combining the common concrete results with the existing size effect formula for common concrete fracture toughness and size effect formula for nominal fracture toughness was based on the Hu's formula; suitable size effect formula for common concrete nominal fracture toughness was confirmed by comparing the computation results of the models. With the continuous improvement of construction technology and the continued construction of dam, common concrete has been very widely used. But the temperature cracks in the massive concrete structures still behave in an outstanding manner. Therefore, the fracture properties of common concrete in- depth study is necessary. China had numerous common concrete fracture test studies and obtained some results in the nineties of the last century. In order to understand the applicability of size effect formula for common concrete nominal fracture toughness in detial, common concrete wedge splitting tensile tests were carried out, and the size effect law of common concrete nominal fracture toughness was obtained on the analysis of test results and the suitable formula was determined.

Wind force is one of the most important loads for tensile, light weight, small damp high-rise structure. Wind vibration cannot be ignored. The mechanism stated is on the occurrence of galloping. An aerodynamic force model was adopted to derive the galloping critical wind velocity formula expressed with shape coefficient rather than lift and drag coefficient. At the same time, the formula was used on the consideration of other types. The calculation example was used to indicate that the formula was suitable. In recent years, high-rise structure is facing the direction of light, high-soft, small damping, and wind-induced vibration. The wind- vibration of a structure has become an issue which cannot be ignored. During the variety of wind-induced vibrations the harm of wind-induced galloping phenomenon is enormous. Galloping is a self-excited vibration of divergent type, which usually occurs in slender structures. Structure will produce vibrations under the effect of wind load, while the vibration of the structure will change the wind direction on buildings; this additional load which is generated by the movement of structure was called aerodynamic damping force. Under normal circumstances, the structure of vibration damping will have a negative power in the structure vibration; consume the energy of the system, in order to reduce the structural vibration. However, when the air damping force of the structure is negative and offsets the damping structure itself, then the structure vibrates, and will produce negative damping to provide energy for the system, resulting in vibration divergence of the structure, and galloping occurs (Zhang 2009). In this paper, the role of the structural strength is a quasi-steady flow for the basic assumptions, established by the structure of wind-induced vibration, which is a stability criteria, determined by the structure of the critical cross-wind galloping wind speed. Used here to consider the wind shape coefficient expressed in vertical pitch of the aerodynamic load model, which is derived to consider other types of galloping critical wind speed formula.

Unstable fracture toughness is to analyze size effect rule of fracture toughness and crack propagation of concrete. Size effect rule for unstable fracture toughness and crack propagation formula with real physical meaning and realistic rule. The two formulae were applied to equivalent strength model for bilateral interval crack director. Two different equivalent strength models were received, which reflected the variation rule of equivalent strength with dimensions. Some suggestions were presented for design of bilateral interval crack director in high arch dam.

In order to improve the transportation management, a simulation method has been developed, by which a simulation of traffic organization based on GIS could be achieved. Compared with the ordinary Macro Traffic Simulation method, in which turnings and vehicles restriction and other traffic organization elements are neglected. According to the organization of regional road network, the improved multipath restrictive capacity assignment method is used to obtain most kinds of traffic flow distribution, and a design of comprehensive restriction function, which is applied, to the simulation could take lanes, turns and vehicles restriction into consideration. Meanwhile, the coordinated database structure of GIS raises computational efficiency. Simulation module is developed by Arc Objects and VB, and a traffic-planning sample is simulated by the simulation module. The feature of simulation method makes it applicable to the management of ITS and Logistics.

Based on the random utility theory of passengers' boarding choices, this paper has proposed a Stochastic User Equilibrium Model with elastic demand for different trains. Taking the Stochastic User Equilibrium Model as the lower model, it has constructed a Bi-level Programming Model in which the upper model aims for maximizing the railroad department's income. It has solved the lower model with MSA algorithm to obtain the flow distribution by using Bi-level Programming with Particle Swarm Optimization. The passenger-dedicated line from Xi'an to Lanzhou is taken as an example, where rational off -line range under different moving distances on high-speed line was obtained.

The information tracking technology is one of the key technologies of the cold chain logistics, which is the most important method to ensure the quality and safety of the agricultural products. The intelligent tracking system based on RFID has proven its suitability for tracking and tracing in logistics. In this paper, we present the pattern of tracking on cold chain logistics for agricultural product and potential intelligent tracking technologies. In addition, the architecture of RFID enabled intelligent tracking system is proposed. In addition, one experimental scenario is illustrated for the feasibility study.

In this paper, experimental method is used to study intersection signal timing program. Then an Optimal Signal Timing Program is proposed based on Experiment (OSTPE), compared to Webster Timing Program (WTP) as well as the Current Timing Program (CTP) which is used in the field intersection. It has been found that OSTPE is superior to WTP and CTP, in which average vehicle delay is the smallest. Finally, each program has been verified by simulating the arrival of the traffic flow in the field intersection and findings that suggest that the conclusion remains the same.

The CFD simulation models of automobile emission NO_x and its dispersion in real atmospheric environment was built to study the diffusion characteristics of automotive emission NO_x under conditions and factors such as wind velocity, ambient temperature, automotive exhaust thermal driving, ground thermal radiation and vehicle drag effect, all which affect the dispersion of automotive emissions. Then the numerical simulation of three-dimensional unsteady turbulent flow was achieved, and the diffusion characteristics of automotive emission NO_x which affects every environmental factor was obtained. The correlation of factors affected by automotive exhaust pollutant diffusion was analyzed using the grey correlation theory and the correlation sequence of atmospheric wind speed > vehicle velocity ≻ ground surface temperature ≻ atmospheric environment temperature ≻ exhaust gas temperature, all that can provide theoretical basis for the moving and dispersion of the automotive exhaust pollutants and the modification of the coefficient of the theoretical models of atmospheric pollutants dispersion.

A summary of delay which occurs in the system of train operation has been made, and three patterns of delay propagation have been concluded based on train sequence and signal open delayed level. With the pattern of punctual delay propagation as an example, four cases of following train travels and how the first train suffers disturbance has been studied. Furthermore, additional delay and its limit value on punctual delay propagation have been deduced with train dynamic model.

As people changed, so did the consumer behavior. An Enterprise has to face the distribution problem comprising of increased varieties, less quantity and more frequency requirements. To solve the problem, the Enterprise must be more automated and efficient. In this paper, we conduct in-depth study on the access strategy of multiple-load automated storage system, and compare the efficiency between the random strategy and no-cost zone strategy by simulation, which has a requirement for reasonable and efficient application of multiple-load automated storage system.

The completion of China's eighteen container central stations has brought a wave of new development and opportunities for railway container transportation. Operation of the station efficiently is an important issue. Under these conditions the efficient operation of a certain container central station will be based on objective planning theory. A model is built so as to make reasonable use of equipments and personnel, to limit total costs within the target range, and give full play to the working efficiency of the station's collection and distribution system. Characteristics of collection and distribution system were combined to improve the efficiency of loading and unloading so as to achieve rapid movement of containerized cargo and an example was taken in the analysis to prove the model's rationality.

"Speeding" is a major concern in many highway traffic accidents. As a tool for controlling vehicle speed, speed limit signs play an important role in traffic control. In order to strengthen the alerts of speed limit signs, it needs to be placed continuously at certain intervals. Using cognitive theory, the paper establishes a speed limit sign setting model based on driver behavior. On the basis of this model the driver simulation was conducted on an independent R&D vehicle. A driving simulator at the Southwest Jiaotong University was used, and data of the forgotten time and acceleration pulse time under speed limit signs at varying speeds was obtained. The suggestions of speed limit signs at set intervals were then given.

Pallet shuttle can dramatically extend the shuttle of SRM when store or retrieve unit loads in deep lane racks. The AS/RS with pallet runner can store more unit loads in the same space. This paper describes a framework in which SRM collaborates with pallet runners to store and retrieve loads efficiently. Throughput estimation method is also presented for this novel type of automated warehouse. The method is developed from traditional dual command cycle.

Recent development trend of high speed railway is more and more focused towards ballastless track due to its advantages of low maintenance, high availability, low structure height and low weight. However, damage cracks of ballastless track superstructure, which is built of reinforcement concrete, are not avoidable. Also, damage cracks may have effect on the behavior and performance of ballastless track. In this paper, in order to study the effect of concrete slab cracks on the mechanics of ballastless track, a spatial finite element model of ballastless track with damaged cracks was established, based on cracking characters of concrete slab, in which the singularity of crack tip was simulated by 20-node hexahedron isoparametric singular element using the theory of elastic fracture mechanics. The mechanics of ballastless track under train load was analyzed and the results show that the crack has little effect on the global stress and deformation of the track. Besides, bar stress at the crack has a sudden increase, and the crack width has little increase under train load. In addition, both bar stress at the crack and stress intensity factor (SIF) increase with the increase in the crack depth, and the crack is not likely to propagate only by general train load.

In recent years, many logistics enterprises actively participated in green logistics to reduce resource consumption and environmental pollution and improve the enterprise's logistics green degree level. Matter elements evaluation based on information entropy theory was applied to evaluate the green degree of logistics enterprise systems. First, the logistics green degree was taken as an indices system. Second, the logistics green degree was regarded as the pending multi-dimensional matter-element and the matter elements analysis model was applied to quantitative evaluation indices. Then, the weights of the evaluation indices were figured out by applying the information entropy theory; Finally, synthesized correlative degree of indices in logistics green degree was figured out, thus the green development grade of the logistics enterprise was gained. The case evaluation study reveals that the logistics green degree can be determined objectively and practicably with this evaluation approach.

The existing cement concrete pavement treated with rubblization technique is regarded as a linear, isotropic elastic body at macro level. By using a multi-layer elastic system model, the paper compares the stress of asphalt overlay on rubblized cement concrete pavement slab and graded gravel, which shows that stress on rubblized slab, is less than on gravel. It is testified that the rubblized slab is better than graded gravel for base layer. By changing the height of two main parts of rubblized slab and the modulus of under part, it is found that 8 to 10 centimeters is the suitable height of under part. This height will keep the intensity of slab and avoid reflective crack at the same time.

The condition of the bridges in service is greatly affected by the volume and distribution of traffic load. In this paper, the traffic investigation has been used as a main factor to evaluate the deterioration of bridges due to the fatigue damage under the moving traffic load. Firstly, the fatigue properties of the reinforced concrete are studied. By using a three dimensional FEM model of a bridge, a transient dynamic analysis is performed and the stress history of the fatigue hot spots is obtained. Secondly, the limit cycles under all levels of the stress amplitude have been counted through rain-flow algorithm. Finally, the cumulative damage can be evaluated according to Miner linear cumulative damage criterion and limit cycles. Therefore, the deteriorating rate of the bridge due to traffic load is also available. This is very important to maintain the decision-making for the road management department, especially on the road with heavy traffic.

For a company, timely logistics is very important for cost control. However, break down during transit is inevitable for logistics vehicles, which causes a waste of both time and money. If the information of the vehicle is unknown, it will be difficult to obtain the right tools and repair it in time, because the place where the vehicles break down is usually far from the repair workshop. So it is helpful, if the status of the vehicle is known to the drivers or maintenance person. This paper introduces a portable device, the vehicle remote fault diagnosis and monitoring system, which is based on Controller Area Network (CAN) Bus for logistics vehicles, and synthetically applies embedded system technology and GPRS technology. The information of the vehicle can be shown to the drivers and uploaded to the repair shop by General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), thus the repair time will be significantly reduced.

Due to the complexity of the factors affecting the logistics center location, an improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is proposed in which all assessment factors are divided into two categories and are evaluated with different criteria. The method integrates the advantage of quantitative evaluation and qualitative evaluation. Finally it is applied to evaluate the choice of the logistics center location and verified by a case. The result shows that the application of the improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is to situate the logistics center to be effective and reasonable.

Mass concrete projects, that are in the process of seepage and corrosion, easily suffer from shrinkage cracks and corrosive-expanding fissures, along with the porous medium characteristic of concrete which are easy for water to permeate. Studying corrosion failure for this kind of material is very important in engineering application. For traditional anti-corrosion designs, comprehensive measures include adding waterproofing agent, smearing waterproof coating and sticking waterproofing membrane. But, for concrete engineering of sewage treatment pools, corrosion failures cannot be prevented effectively. According to the mentioned reasons above, waterproofing and corrosion protection for concrete project of Jiguanshi sewage treatment plant in Chongqing was introduced as an example in this paper. Selection for materials and their engineering effects were also analyzed, and specific technical requirements to improve anti-corrosion durability of concrete were proposed.

For the problem of continuous container terminal production resources scheduling, based on the terminal operation efficiency of the system, within the daily work plan for the shortest waiting time of quay cranes and all lorries with the shortest operational time; the paper puts forward the container terminal and production resources scheduling model and presents the model based on the tabu search solutions, with an example.

Based on the actual work, this paper takes into consideration, the container terminal yard operation system to draft the production operation plan as the key clue, a production schedule and optimization simulation platform have been put forward. Firstly, the decision support system's prototype system based on Microsoft Sql Server 2005-based is given out. Secondly, to identify resources in the total amount of production plans and other prerequisites, a set of flexsim simulation models are built. Finally, from the development of production optimization for real-time information required for the program point of view, the simulation platform is built, which is used to integrate all the above. Along with the development of science and technology and economic globalization, the container terminal has developed rapidly. The functions as the hub of the international container transport system and the important node in logistics supply chain are increasing. It is one of the hotspots that research on optimizing control method of the container terminal logistic system. J.G.Kang and Y.D.Kim (2006) combined the branch and bound algorithm with the Tabu search to gain a better stowage plan in a reasonable computing time. Yan zheng and Tao dexin (2006) analyzed the scheduling problem of container trucks in the loading terminal basing dynamic optimization. Jin zhihong (2005) established the optimization model of containers consolidation in multimodal transport. Ji mingjun (2007) established the optimization scheduling model of uniting containers and cranes. However, because the container terminal logistic system is a random and dynamic complex system, when determininig decisions of the entire logistic system, the calculated quantities of the given decision model are fairly large, or the assumptions of the decision model are too many, the decision schema obtained from the model was not exactly in accordance with the practice, and very difficult to optimize the production of the container terminal logistic operation system by regular method. Hence, this article is divided into the following several aspects.

Distribution processing of 3PW is an important value-added service of profit source. The article examines that the research on distribution processing is so important to 3PW companies. Firstly, the paper considers a 3PW company with stochastic warehousing demands and invariable process ability scheme. Then, a stochastic programming model is developed on capacity allocation in combination with Job Shop problem. Secondly, based on revenue management methods, multi-classed models are transformed to linear integer programming models with robust optimization. Finally, the feasibility of model and method are confirmed by digital simulation and capacity allocation policy is determined by calculation. Distribution processing, jointing production and delivery plays the role of a `bridge' and `link'. It realizes "Time utility" and "Place utility" and contributes great profit to 3PW. Also, it has been confirmed that the revenue contributed by distribution processing is not less than which is contributed by warehousing and transportation by practical data of Chinese companies in recent years. Warehousing companies grew significantly faster than the sole transport companies and integrated logistics companies (NDRC China 2006). Specifically, revenue created by the distribution processing department grows much faster at 107.3% as investigated by National Development and Reform Commission of China in 2006. However, costs have been increased 23.8% (NDRC China 2006). Under such circumstances, it's not always feasible to keep the growth of profit only by reducing costs (Lin 2007). Revenue Management (RM) is highly effective tools (Mcgill 1999) which can help companies sell their products or services to right customers at right price and at right time. In this manner, it is able to achieve greatest revenue (Boyd 2003). Few literatures focused on Distribution Processing profits. Distribution processing job scheduling with simulation (Chen 2001) was studied without revenue consideration. Capacity allocation model for container logistics Revenue Management with empty container transportation (Bu 2005), extended RM application and guided many literatures focus on this topic. However, there are apparent differences between ocean shipping industry, hotel and human resource industry. In addition, 3PW revenue optimizations (Lin 2007) directly considered such difference and applied RM in warehousing industry successfully and are the fundamental part of warehousing distribution processing. Thus, Revenue Management was getting focused (Lin 2009) without considering the complexity of multi-classed demand.

The article examines the optimizing maintenance intervals of the in-use transport vehicles which have the lowest detection, diagnosis, maintenance and repair cost in unit operating mileage. The findings of the paper suggest that the operating fault rate λ(t) of the vehicles obeys two parameter Weibull distribution by means of analyzing a large collection of fault data of a given type vehicles. Combined with renewal function H(t), the mathematical model of optimizing maintenance intervals which aimed at the cost was established. In order to obtain the solution of the model; the detection, diagnosis, maintenance and repair cost data of these vehicles during years of operation were collected and then the average cost values involved in this model was acquired. The optimizing maintenance interval of the given vehicles is 15000 km, which enables the detection, diagnosis, maintenance and repair cost in unit operating mileage to be the lowest. A special test proved that the result mentioned above was accurate and reliable. Finally, by practicing the optimizing maintenance intervals can increase the economic benefit of highway transportation significantly and guarantee the satisfying technical condition of the in-use vehicles.

In this paper, to reveal the statistical characteristic and regularity of vehicle front wheel sideslip, with the professional side slip test-bed the front wheel sideslip values of 83 vehicles were measured. The paper further employed parameter estimation and hypothesis testing methods to confirm that the front wheel sideslip values of measured vehicles obeyed the normal distribution N (1.2306, 5.2480). The mathematical model which could describe the sideslip distribution was established. The article also examined calculations which showed that the result acquired by models was accurate and reliable; with the model calculating error 4.0759% only. Finally, this research would play a significant role in understanding the front wheel sideslip statistical characteristic and regularity of transport vehicles. In addition, it is also useful to judge vehicle traveling safety, fuel consumption and tire wear of front wheel.

A ring-plate planetary pin-cycloid reducer is a new drive which is designed after analyzing the advantages and shortcomings of involutes gear ring-plate reducer and pin-cycloid planetary reducer. The paper stresses that the ring-plate pin-cycloid planetary reducer provides many advantages, including small volume, light weight, wide range of transmission ratio and high load capacity. In the paper, the vibration characteristics of the main component parts of the reducer are derived after the tests of the reducer at different rotational speeds and different loads. The natural frequencies of the key parts are derived through finite element method. The main parts which radiate noise reducer are identified. The experimental results are worthwhile.

This paper analyzes the queuing process at the export intersection bus stop based on queuing theory. In addition, it builds up a bus stop queuing model. The paper finds the average queuing length and the utilization of Berths with the help of evaluation index of average waiting time for buses. Finally, this paper demonstrates the relationship between the bus flow rate and the number of berth according to the result of the bus stop queuing system simulated by AutoMod software.

The berth allocation problem in container terminal is a NP-hard problem. In past, the genetic algorithm was often adopted to solve the problem. The genetic algorithm initially seemed to be quite useful at finding generally good global solutions but later proved to be quite inefficient at finding the absolute optimum solution in last few mutations. Therefore, an improved memetic algorithm was introduced in present paper. In basic genetic operations, an improved order crossover and a new mutation based on neighborhood search was employed to avoid infeasible solutions. Moreover, an improved simulated annealing algorithm was utilized for the local search. Finally, various numerical examples were analyzed, which showed that compared to the traditional genetic algorithm the proposed memetic algorithm can speed up the convergence and is more suitable for the berth allocation problem in container terminal.

In this paper, a scale model of the inverted L type sound barrier was built and acoustic tests of the scale model were completed using the multi-channel noise test and analysis system in noise laboratory. The urban road traffic sound barrier insertion loss at different test positions, different test heights and different frequencies were studied when the wall angle is 45° or 75°. From the analysis, the various conclusions were drawn. Firstly, the smaller the inclination of the sound barrier is meant the higher the equivalent height will be and then the insertion loss is greater. Secondly, the insertion loss of the point which is farther away from the sound barrier is smaller than that of the point which is nearer. Thirdly, for the test points which have the same distances from the sound barrier, the higher the point is meant the bigger the insertion loss will be. Finally, the conclusions provide a high value for the future design of sound barriers.

With the development of economy and the improvement of living standards, the vehicles in public places are increasing. In today's world, the traditional technology of parking management can not satisfy the needs. This paper aims to improve the efficiency of vehicles management and guarantee the safety of vehicles. The research paper presents an intelligent vehicle management expert system with RFID technology. The system provides practically important user data collection, guidance information, control information and can trace criminal or illegal vehicles such as stolen cars or vehicles that evade tickets, tolls or vehicle taxes. The system architecture consists of an RFID reader, a passive tag, a terminal computer, a pair of magnetic induction coils and a high-speed server with a database system. The system collects user information and allocates parking spaces on a community of a district area in a city based on RFID technology. Moreover, it can identify cars that do not have a tag and then provide a temporary card through Automatic Vending Machine.

This paper studies the effect of geo-cell in reinforced soil base course in airfield pavement structure. Using FEM to analyze the mechanical properties of geo-cell reinforced soil structure, the interaction of filling soil and geo-cell were considered in FEM calculation. Setting up a FEM model of pavement under the load of aircraft to analyze the feasibility of this structure, the result shows that using of geo-cell reinforced soil base course can enhance the tensile and flexible capability of the pavement observably. This structure can be used in practical airfield pavement construction.

Any occurrence of natural disasters, such as earthquakes, typhoons, floods, or drought, may cause huge property damage and human injuries. Quick and effective response to the urgent relief needs right after natural disasters through emergency logistics distribution system is vital to the alleviation of disaster impact in the affected areas. This paper presents a two-phase approach to the operation of emergency logistics and aims to develop a decision-making tool in planning for emergency logistics distribution. In this paper, we analyze the concept and features of emergency logistics distribution and establish a distribution model decompose into two phases. The purpose of the first phase is how to concentrate goods and materials in the shortest time and minimize the fleet size. In the second phase, we discuss when concentrated goods and materials are insufficient for demand of affected areas. Finally, an example of emergency logistics is presented to highlight the significance of the upper model.

This paper demonstrates the two main factors that are involved in the location of chain supermarket in mega polis including the attraction of residents around the market and the management cost. The article establishes multiple-objective programming model in the location of chain supermarket which is based on the maximum attraction and minimum variable management cost. Then, the paper proposes a model in which the residents scale, purchasing power, distance between market and a bus station are regarded as the attraction indexes. In addition, the transportation cost and risk cost are regarded as the distribution cost indexes. Finally, an example has been employed which is resolved by lingo software to obtain the best location place.

In this paper, the data from the Chinese consumers help to study whether the impact of CSR on consumer purchasing decisions truly exists. If it exists, we will further study the mechanism of consumers responding to CSR and its constraints. The study constructs a conceptual framework with following hypotheses: the level of CSR makes positive effects on consumers' purchase intention; CSR-CA Beliefs, CSR Support and Product Quality have positive moderating effects on the relationship between the level of CSR and consumers' purchase intention. The test results support all the hypotheses except the moderating effect of Product Quality. The main conclusions drawn from the empirical research are: (1) The data from China show that CSR behavior is an important factor influencing consumers' purchase decision-making, (2) the response of consumer purchase decision to CSR behavior is conditional, subject to the impact of consumer types and (3) consumers' responses to CSR are motivated from interest drive and value identification.

(Q, R) Model is an important control model in inventory management but it is inefficient at utilizing the abundant information of commodity circulation from supply chain. Hence (Q, R) Model can't adjust the ordering policy dynamically and timely. In this paper, we construct a Compound (Q, R) Model which takes advantages of RFID's information collection based on (Q, R) Model and researches the inventory management under the circumstances of timely collection of the retail inventory data. Then the article proposes Hong He (Ruan Jia) Cigarette's inventory management as an example using genetic algorithms to solving simulation optimization problems. Finally, the results show that the Compound (Q, R) Model can reduce inventory level save more inventory cost and satisfy customers' needs better comparing with traditional (Q, R) Model and it has better inventory management control effect.

As the occurrence of natural disasters has become more frequent, the issue to set up an emergency service facility has become a very urgent problem. However, the choice of the location by the traditional method lacks the adequate theoretical site for the purpose of this contingency. The paper proposes improved cost-type P-median model, comprehensive coverage model and also presents an improved model of the location problems. In addition, the article demonstrates the modern heuristic algorithms for the effectiveness of the model. Finally, the paper reviews an analysis of actual cases solved by modeling Guangdong Province.

From the perspective of regional logistics system planning and based on the existing method of logistics center location; this paper proposes a concept of location model of regional logistics center in reference to accessibility. Under the constraints of transportation network, geographical conditions and other factors and through the analysis of regional accessibility, this paper constructed a location model of logistics center considering the accessibility and coverage in the regional transport network, and other indicators. Finally, combined with a practical example, the paper also proves the practical application value of this model.

This paper discusses the working principle, design of key components and calculation of main performance parameters for pneumatic conveyer model GFD. For this purpose, annular suction nozzle and big curvature separator were designed and common centrifugal ventilator was used. It was observed that this helped to save energy and cost can be cut down compared with the same model of a machine that used volume type ventilator as power. Finally, the research suggests that the model can be widely applied to load and unload grain on harbor or dock as well as material transportation passing in and out of warehouse.

The concept of "The Internet of Things" builds up a higher demand on logistics fleet management. As a new kind technology, fleet remote management technology meets the new requirements. Logistics fleet remote management system integrates modern electronic technology, internet technology and wireless communication technology as a whole, and it can provide remote fault diagnosis and management services for logistics fleet in real-time. The present paper analyzes the requirement of remote fleet management system, and proposes a framework of remote logistics fleet management, which includes on-board fault diagnosis terminal, remote data transmission and manage client. This system prototype is established and tested on several logistics fleets. It has shown great stability, and most of the management and feedback messages can be accurately and reliably transmitted in real-time.

This study, first of all, defines what Consumer Logistics is. Secondly, the motivations of its formation are analyzed in EGS environment. Thirdly, the issues existing in Consumer Logistics strategy are discussed in detail. Finally, solutions are proposed to avoid these issues in an effort to provide a basis for the operation of Consumer Logistics in EGS environment.

Based on the analysis of important factors affecting the competitive advantage of urban environment — friendly logistics park industrial cluster with SPSS software, and taking several factors into consideration, such as resource saving, ecological environmental protection, economic development and population, this paper puts forward the suggestions how to construct urban environment — friendly logistics park industrial cluster. The research aimed at accelerating the clustering development of logistics park industry and opening up a practical, effective and innovative green logistics channel of urban industry upgrading.

The main objective of this study is to clarify the potential relationship between the multimodal traffic safety education freight drivers received and the accident-related human-errors. In the paper, the survey data consisting of 394 Chinese freight driver samples is collected to examine the education effect of different methods on different memory degree. Ten typical behaviors are adopted to represent the human-error factors of freight drivers. The statistical approaches are descriptive analysis, multiple linear analysis and ordinal logit regression analysis. The analysis results show that the freight drivers who have not received safety education or have less memory degree have higher accident risk. The most efficient education methods are listening to classes or reporting and watching videos or other visual materials.

This paper builds the entropy-based multi-objective decision-making model on the basis of the analysis the demand characteristics of the railway emergency supplies by considering the railway transportation network, the site layout and its technical characteristics. To avoid the effects of artificial judgments this model uses entropy method to figure out the weight of demand region. In addition, the site construction costs and transport costs are taken into account during the building process of the target model, which makes the reserve site selection feasible not only in terms of the time and the region, but also in terms of the cost.

In this study, foam-in-place packaging material was used as cushioning material in logistics transportation. Its cushioning property was studied by means of compression test method, mechanical model analytic method and microstructure-based simulation analysis, respectively. It was shown that the micro-structural compression result of the studied material using the finite element simulation method was consistent with that using mechanical model analytic method. The experimental and simulated stress-strain curves obtained were basically identical to each other, indicating that the simulation method could reflect the experimental conditions. The foam-in-place material had a good cushioning capability, and the internal stress and absorbed energy increased correspondingly with the increase of the filled percentage of foamed liquid (PFL), thus affording the larger load.

When the train adopts traditional braking method in transit, due to the transmission of brake-wave with time delay, the impact among the wagons is bound to happen. In this case, the goods will traverse or scurry out from the wagons, even cause the train derailment accident. In this paper, the characteristics of the present braking method and the forces in goods were analyzed. The braking method for control brake with wire was put forward in order to achieve the purpose of train synchronous braking.

In the paper, two-phase flow is introduced based on incompressible, vicious fluid governing equations and Piecewise Linear Volume Tracking Methods. The basic objective is to investigate coupled cable-deck vibration under wave effect of long span cable-stayed bridges. In the article, the contact surfaces between waves and structures are treated with Virtual Boundary Force Method and Two-step Boundary Pinpoint Method. Then three dimensional model of interaction between waves and structures is set up and wave force is calculated. In addition, the paper develops the Bridge model based on finite element method and the responses of main beam and towers under wave influence are studied. Finally, the results suggest that the side spans are much influenced by waves. It is noted that its acceleration and bending moment are much bigger than main span due to additional piers. Also, when we consider local vibration of cables effect, the lateral acceleration and lateral bending moment responses under wave are decreased.

By analyzing the connecting characteristics of freight train in technical station, this paper studies the method of choosing the connecting scheme for through freight train and find the optimization model for each expanded problem. By analyzing the network diagram constructed by the models, we draw a conclusion that minimum cost flow algorithm can be used to solve all models. The result of the designed example shows that the extended methods are effective in optimizing the connection of the direct freight train in technical station.

WBS (work breakdown structure) decomposition method means to break the project down into separate projects, mutual influence and interrelated multi-level cell according to system theory and requirements. This paper constructs a long-lasting, highly efficient mode of agricultural logistics operation based on WBS, which relies on third-party logistics by means of resource Integration.

The volatility of Baltic Dry Index has become usualness. The index has rebounded up to 3974 in the beginning of 2010 from low of 772 points in 2009 and sometimes even up to 11793 points. Therefore shipping companies and cargo owners need financial instruments to hedge freight rates through the volatility. In addition, the spread of trade protectionism and pirates, epidemic diseases and other factors, the future uncertainty of the global shipping market will be further enhanced. Therefore, China's shipping index to speed up the development of derivatives is necessary. Firstly, we transform the financial problem into a stochastic optimal control problem, then we obtain the pricing of derivatives based on CCFI, and we discuss the well pose of the equations, and also put up with the solving ways of the equation. Finally we conclude the paper with the applications of the model based on the 109 dates as CCFI from Jan 1 2008 to April 1, 2010 and we will get some data which will be used to be a clue for pricing some over the counter based on CCFI, and will be helpful to the risk management in relative derivatives.

LOSS (Level of Service of Safety) is used to weigh the quality of safe operation that roads provide to the drivers and other traffic participants. Reasonable speed limit not only controls the speed of vehicles in appropriate range on the road, but also guarantees the traffic safety of the road. Crash rate was selected as a quantitative indicator, hierarchical standard of LOSS for freeway and arterial highway was studied, and then the LOSSs of freeway and arterial highway in China were divided into 4 levels. In virtue of the probability statistics, robust regression and on the basis of accident data, speed limit and geometric factors the accident prediction models were established. Based on the acceptable LOSS the method of setting speed limits about cars and trucks respectively was formed. The results would help traffic engineers in Chinese highway management departments choose right speed limits for freeway and arterial highway.

Establish a simulation model of 45 stations in an automobile mixed-model assembly line by Flexsim, and achieve 3D visual simulation for the assembly line process basically. Build up a simulation system of car mixed-model assembly line scheduling, simulate with taking minimum of assembly line station overload time and idle time as optimization goal and parts consumption balance as another optimization goal respectively, achieve optimization selection for variety car mixed-model sequencing. As increasing market competition and diversifying of customer demand, car manufacturers produce multi-variety and small batch production in mixed-model production line more and more, production scheduling problem becomes significant. When the market demand for personalized products changed greatly and needed to add new varieties, the traditional production requires a long time on-line trail assembly to determine the new production scheduling, which greatly affected the production efficiency. Automobile assembly line is a large discrete system, simulating to solve its scheduling problem can simplify assembly process, reduce production costs and increase productivity.

Container-type pipeline transportation is used in carrying the first aid supplies, and urgently needed materials like first aid for war, which usually is not timely and suffer from low speed, low efficiency due to the nature of the structure of the driving equipment. In this paper, the defects of the container-type pipeline transportation were analyzed; and an ideal for linear motor used in container-type pipeline transportation instead of the air pressure model which was used earlier was put forward. The application and future development of this new method is studied in detail in this paper.

The major characteristic of low temperature logistics is that the quality of perishable goods should be ensured. The paper emphasizes that the running state of air-conditioned compressor is the security of the low temperature logistics system. In this paper, a state monitoring system of compressor based on CAN bus and DSP 2812 is presented. The CAN bus integrates specialty of flexible and simple structure of high reliability, good adaptability. In this system, the 2812 DSP which has the modules of ADC and CAN controller is used for acquiring data from target system and communicating with the host computer. In addition, it can achieve the analysis, save of data and the running state show of compressor. Finally, it is observed that CAN controller has stronger flexibility and practical use.

The precise form of incident probability model can provide a more accurate measurement result for hazardous materials transportation risk if it does not meet relevant axioms. The study analyzes that the measurement results of the model will be unreliable and unpractical even if we can find an appropriate algorithm for it. This paper employs three axioms that a reliable risk model should satisfy to verify the reliability of the precise form of incident probability model. Finally, the results show that the precise form can satisfy three axioms. Its results will be reliable as long as both accident probability and path length are in actual level. In addition, it provides a theoretical basis for using the precise form to select path for hazmat transportation.

Lean Construction is a new construction management paradigm. Lean Construction brings forward a challenge and an implication for traditional material delivery system. The rationale of Lean Construction is to create short-term schedules based on a constraint analysis of resources for project tasks. This approach has two requirements for material deliveries namely transparency of material availability and short response times in the supply chain. The paper proposes a potential solution for managing the material logistics of construction projects. The empirically validated solution proposes a shipment tracking-based approach to provide inventory transparency and a pro-active delivery approach for efficient material deliveries.

Due to the difference of work procedure and operation time of different products on mixed-model assembly line of car-manufacturing enterprises, production sequencing problem must be resolved in order to guarantee regular work of mixed-model assembly line. Aiming at this objective the level is kept at a constant and the usage rate of every part is used on the mixed-model assembly line. The mathematical model of production sequencing problem is presented, which solves out large-sized combinatorial optimization problem, especially NP-hard class of combinatorial optimization problem of an approximation method which is a simulated annealing algorithm to resolve production sequencing problem of mixed-model assembly lines. Results indicate that the method overcomes shortcomings of the extant approximation methods that lost universal property because of concentration on characteristics of special problems, or lost practical utility because of optimal solution quality strongly depending on selection of initial feasible solution. This is better than goal chasing algorithm that is used in quality of solution. This demonstrates that simulated annealing algorithm is a new method for effective solving production sequencing of mixed-model assembly line.

The container crane plays a significant role in the port logistics and it's also one of the important hoisting and conveying machinery. This paper takes the container crane as the research object, uses the finite element analysis software ANSYS and employs the time-history analysis method to calculate the seismic response about one container crane. Finally, the results of the two methods were compared and analyzed between the two models (with and without damping arrangement).

This paper's innovations are reflected in the design of how to transport box full of material, material box in the effective switching between different flatbed studies, collision hook device and lock device design. Finally, it was observed that rushing into the railway will bring tremendous social and economical benefits.

Air traffic system experiences more and more severe jams. Bad weather conditions add to the uncertainties. Maintaining the precondition of safety, the volume of inbound traffic and outbound traffic were simulated by scientifically allocating the holding time of aircraft both in the air as well as on ground. Minimizing the overall cost of the system is also the focus of the research. The paper also puts forward the improved ATFM holding model for uncertainties along with minimum overall holding cost (including the delay cost both in the air and on the ground) as the target function. Applying this improved model to Guangzhou airport, and taking into account both inbound and outbound flights, we find out the system value maximized under optimized strategy. The result of this model can also give the number of inbound/outbound flights at each time period, which help air traffic controllers in making decisions.

Bridge and tunnel grouping has become a typical characteristic of mountainous expressway especially in west area of China. This paper analyzes and performs a great deal of investigations in order to study and control the accidents of bridge-tunnel group sections. Firstly, the statistical distribution of accidents according to time, climate, and accident pattern and vehicle type in bridge-tunnel group section were analyzed. From aspects of human factor, road alignment, safety facilities, pavement states, traffic conditions and nature conditions, accident influence factors for bridge-tunnel group were studied comprehensively. Finally, the result of the research can help to avoid design defects and support maintaining, traffic management and accident control of mountainous expressway. In recent years, the main investment of highway construction in China is shifting from plain to mountainous areas, which helps improve the economy of related area. Expressways require better alignment elements than ordinary roads. So, high embankments or deep through cuts are in common uses. But sometimes, embankments or through cuts were so high or deep that they were infeasible in economy or technology. So, bridges and tunnels substitute for them and bridge-tunnel group appearances (Liu 2009) which is obviously different from general sections. The driving environment of bridge-tunnel section varies frequently along the road, which leads to poor safety performance. So, it is very important to study the safety problems at bridge tunnel junction and bridge-tunnel group sections. In this paper, bridge-tunnel group of typical mountainous expressways were investigated and the characteristics for traffic accident were analyzed. Finally, the conclusions were proposed for improvement of bridge-tunnel group section.

In recent years, China's road speeding accidents have increased each year. As a consequence, the property damage caused by the accidents is increasing as well. Since the automatic enforcement requires less police but have good effect of speed limit and have a significant superiority in road traffic management. As a result, more and more cities in China use automatic enforcement in speed limit management. The paper analyzes the speed limit effects of two different law enforcement equipments namely the camera and the radar separately. The research ultimately concluded that the radar has a certain speed limit effect but the speed limit durability is poor. In addition, the study examines that the camera's effects of speed limit are the most effective as they not only can bring the speed down efficiently but also have good continuity of speed limit effects.

Under the corporate social responsibility circumstance, a single commodity supply chain network equilibrium model was developed and this supply chain network consisted of two layers of suppliers and manufacturers. In this model the competition between enterprises in the same tier and transaction cost among enterprises in different tier of supply chain were taken into consideration. Based on these considerations, the equilibrium outcome and system profit between manufacturers and suppliers' two-way choice was taken into account respectively under the distributed supply chain networks and centralized supply chain network. The paper further presents solution algorithm to this equilibrium problem and analyzes computation examples. Moreover, the equilibrium output, order volume, the degree of social responsibility and equilibrium price which were derived from the proposed algorithm would be helpful for enterprises in supply chain.

Double-row piles and door-type piles are the reinforcing structures that have different mechanical characteristics and are commonly used in practical engineering to prevent large-scale landslides. This paper analyzes and compares the mechanical characteristics of double-row piles and door-type piles with medium and small row spacing for the common large-scale landslide using finite element analysis. This helps to provide a theoretical basis for the selection of reinforcing measures in engineering practice. According to the results, it is found that door-type piles have lower cost in practical projects. Furthermore, internal structural forces of door-type piles with net separations of 6a, 4a and 2a are compared and then the most preferable small row spacing for door-type piles is deduced. This paper also suggests the ideal net distance between rows for door-type piles.

Due to the increasing cost of virgin bituminous material and environmental concerns, usage of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) has drawn a great deal of attention from transportation agencies. Polymer modified binder (PMB) and styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) are commonly used in pavement engineering. The objective of this research is to investigate the recycling of aged PMB. Firstly, composite theory of materials is analyzed to evaluate the recycling potential and to provide the recycling fundamental of aged PMB. And then the Penetration grade tests including penetration soften point, ductility and elastic recovery and Super-pave TM PG grade tests including DSR, BBR and DTT are both used to give a full evaluation of the recycling performances of aged PMB. The test results indicate that although the recycling agent in commonly used, it can't fully restore the performance of aged PMB. It is also proposed that aged PMB recycling follow the composite theory of materials in a feasible manner.

The feature of dynamic response of highway embankment slope under the action of seismic dynamic loading is analyzed by using numerical simulation. The influenced factors of the dynamic response of roadbed slope are discussed in detail. These include dynamic characteristic of earthquake, properties of rolling soil and geometric shape of embankment slope. The distributions of amplification factor of peak acceleration, peak velocity, peak displacement and relative displacement are comprehensively analyzed under various working conditions. Some useful conclusions that the distributions of amplification factor of peak acceleration, peak velocity, peak displacement increases gradually with the raising of height. The contour of relative displacement is similar to the amplification factor of peak displacement, and the maximum displacement appears on the 2/3 location of slope, direction to the slope outside.

In the paper, the author establishes the "Hub-and-Spoke" logistics network of Wuhan city circle which includes core nodes that are Wuhan and Huangshi; the secondary nodes which includes Ezhou, Xiaogan and Huanggang and the third nodes that are Qianjiang, Xianning, Xiantao and Tianmen based on the "Hub-and-Spoke" logistics theory and the factor analysis. In the end of the paper, some suggestions about the development of the Hub-and-Spoke" logistics network in Wuhan city circle were proposed.

A simulation model of a road transport in container port is constructed in the paper by using Arena. The vehicle in port travel is designed according to the scheduling options. The simulation software Arena is applied instead of professional soft used in road system, this helps the research means of road traffic system simulation to increase. After the steady state model of container terminal logistics is established, the road transport model is designed where the container is an entity and the truck is conveyance. This model is proved valuable in engineering application.

Road construction is bound up with port production and development. On the basis of the relationship of road adaptability to port development, the authors have put forward the adaptability appraisal index system, and have used Analytic Hierarchy Process to determine weights on the indexes. The method of grey correlation degree to evaluate the adaptability of road modernization, have made the results more scientific and accurate. Finally the paper proposed measures to enhance the Caofeidian port road and its level of development.

Due to the rising vehicle routine problem (VRP), from the transportation system's design and optimization the paper aims at searching for a vehicle route which costs minimum resources to meet the customers' demands in the network. Up to now, researchers have found heuristic algorithm, genetic algorithm, and analytic hierarchy process and so on, to solve the VRP. Assuming the network in which customers' location and the distribution center's location have already been fixed, with constraint on the capacity of the vehicles, this paper will settle a weighted graph model, and provide a solution to optimize this operational network, by using the sweeping algorithm. Meanwhile, it also lists a few feasible approaches to further optimize the solution.

With the boost in development of new countryside and pastoral area, the living standards of peasant and herder have improved greatly. However, the traffic of countryside and pastoral area has slowed down the economic development and it is necessary to remove the bottleneck. Based on the development status of countryside and pastoral area, the indexes of traffic development and modernization of district are established and then the impact of traffic construction on the modernization development level of agricultural and pastoral areas is studied by the way of regression analysis in this paper, from the macroscopic angle.
