A Freight Time-Value-Dependent Logistics Intermodal Minimum Cost Path Model and Algorithm
Publication: ICLEM 2010: Logistics For Sustained Economic Development: Infrastructure, Information, Integration
Abstract
To improve the efficiency of logistics and transport networks and reduce logistics costs, we establish the minimum cost path models based on the time value of goods. The models made the actual cost of transportation of goods converted to minimum cost using multi-objective optimal principles. In this paper, we use two- stage analysis to divide the optimal path problem into two parts, building respective models first and then joining together to solve the overall goal (minimum cost), to form the optimization algorithms. The results show that: transportation process is divided into the transport process and transfer process, considering the loss of the goods value caused by time delay of the two processes; the model algorithm can be done automatically by a computer regardless of the size of logistics transportation networks and nodes restrictions. Therefore, the algorithm is feasible.
