Decision Support System of Project Logistics Based on Gray Theory

Publication: ICLEM 2010: Logistics For Sustained Economic Development: Infrastructure, Information, Integration

Abstract

With the investment of domestic construction projects continuing to increase, engineering logistics involves numerous links to enterprises in the whole process. The development plan of logistics enterprises are influenced by various uncertainties and therefore difficult to obtain accurate calculation of key indices for decision making, resulting in investment risk and decision complexity. Much more technology information and environment should be collected to build up an information system that can provide logistics solutions and decision support. In this paper, gray theory is applied to analyze the characteristics of engineering logistics and operation of large engineering construction project logistics system. Evaluation indexes are defined and logistics operation mode is set up on forecast, which is the basis for engineering construction project logistics management and logistics operation. Through decision support system, the owner enterprise, the construction enterprise, the supervision company, the logistics company and the suppliers are inextricably linked to care logistics operation together instead of the owner alone.
