Abstract
There are many studies on the impact of communication on organizational performance. However, there are few studies about supplier integration's influence on their relationship. According to the content of communication, communication includes instrumental communication regarding the purpose of communication and social communication regarding long-term relationship. The improvement of communication will help to enhance inter-enterprise information sharing and processes collaboration. We find that instrumental communication is positively related to supplier integration, and social communication is not related to supplier integration. Our study cannot conclude that supplier integration is mediation between communication and organizational performance. Furthermore, the results validate the relationship between supplier integration and organizational performance.
