Research on Distribution Center Location Model of Maximum Coverage Based on Collaborative Inventory of Supply Chain
Publication: ICLEM 2010: Logistics For Sustained Economic Development: Infrastructure, Information, Integration
Abstract
The traditional location models focuses only on the distribution center, without considering the supply chain as a whole. This article points the distribution centers and demand points as the supply chain nodes. The contribution rate that the demand points gave to the distribution centers is transformed into coverage rate based on the theory of collaborative inventory of supply chain. The paper further discusses the multi-objective maximal covering location model with the variable coverage rate under the circumstances known to the candidate nodes. When compared to the past location model and the transportation and linear inventory costs, our model considers the variable parameters such as distribution center's fixed investment, transportation and nonlinear inventory costs etc. Thus, the model is closer to the actual model. The authors employ fuzzy function to simulate changes in demand to get the optimal demand amount and analytic network process (ANP) to derive benefit weight of each demand points. Finally, genetic algorithm is used to solve this model.
