Inventory Model Study in Manufacturing/Remanufacturing Hybrid System Based on Lean Production

Publication: ICLEM 2010: Logistics For Sustained Economic Development: Infrastructure, Information, Integration

Abstract

Remanufacturing is a key means to implement circular economy. The process and the dual-resources inventory structure in manufacturing/remanufacturing hybrid system (MRHS) are analyzed in the paper. Based on the Lean Production theories, an improved measurement of inventory for MRHS is put forward, which includes source control and real-time control. Then, a new PULL-PUSH inventory control processes for MRHS is set up based on Lean Production and a model is established. Finally, a simulation is shown to verify the validation of the new model.
