Publication: ICLEM 2010: Logistics For Sustained Economic Development: Infrastructure, Information, Integration

Abstract

Compared with small and medium enterprises, farmers face a harder financing condition such as lack of real estate collateral security that banks and other financial institutions are preferred to adapt, and lack of information in respect of financing and other related channels, have objective limited the feasibility of financing. In response to this situation, if grain and other agricultural products that are temporarily unwilling to be sold due to low price at the period of output could be turned into movable collateral materials that banks and other financial institutions are preferred to adapt, and to realize the financing, it will provide a viable model to financing for grain farmers. Based on basic principles of the warehouse receipts pledging, this paper will analyze the significance and feasibility of grain warehouse receipts pledging, as well as the implementation risks associated. And describe how to carry out the operations of grain warehouse receipts pledging for farmers, so as to promote the realization of this financing effectively.
