Abstract
In this paper, parameters affecting inventory decision are set in accordance to the specialty of fresh food on the premise of fulfilling the demands of the customer and with the aim of minimizing total stock cost. In addition, an inventory optimization model of regional chain supermarket is proposed which is used to obtain the optimal solution with adaptive genetic algorithm. Finally, the results for a numerical example show that the algorithm can guide practical inventory management activities to carry it out reasonably.
