Study on Departure Headway of Public Transit Based on Theory of Complex Systems

Publication: ICLEM 2010: Logistics For Sustained Economic Development: Infrastructure, Information, Integration

Abstract

There are many factors that affect the departure headway of public transit; one of the problems identified belongs to the complex system fundamental research category. In the model, environment costs, passenger fees and operation expense factors are simultaneously considered, by the Weighted Sum Method technology of evaluating function, transforming the multi-objective programming problem as single objective programming problem. The Genetic Algorithm to solve the optimization model is applied, and the general method to determine the departure headway of public transit is obtained. An example is more in line with the actual proof.
