Pipelines 2014: From Underground to the Forefront of Innovation and Sustainability

Abstract

    This collection contains 207 peer-reviewed papers emphasizing innovation and sustainability in design methods, pipeline material manufacturing, and pipeline installation for the conveyance of potable water, wastewater, stormwater, and oil and natural gas. Rehabilitation of existing pipelines and installation of new systems to accommodate growing demands is discussed and pipeline performance and operations and management experiences are presented through case histories.

    Topics include: planning to design; condition assessment; operation and maintenance; product testing, evaluation, and research; construction technologies and methods; installation effects; and sustainable design and regulatory issues.

    These papers will be of interest to owner agencies and operators, practicing engineers, constructors, and manufacturers of pipelines.
