Abstract
The Regional Municipality of Peel is situated in Southern Ontario about 475 km from Canada's capital, Ottawa. It consists of three municipalities: the Town of Caledon and the Cities of Brampton and Mississauga and is part of the Greater Toronto Area. As the second largest municipality of Ontario, it remains one of the fastest growing regions in Canada with a current population of 1.3 million, projected to be 1.68 million in 2031. With this growth, it is essential that planning and investment of infrastructure keep pace with expected developments.
