ABSTRACT
Due to the unreasonable traffic organization at some intersections, the vehicle conflict at the intersection can be serious, the traffic order is chaotic, the traffic congestion is frequent, and even the traffic accidents occur with ease, which seriously affects the traffic safety. Based on the current traffic analysis of the intersection of Xinghua East Road and West Ring Road, this paper summarizes the existing problems of traffic organization. Considering the difficulty and effect of road reconstruction, this paper puts forward the recommended intersection traffic organization optimization scheme and evaluates the scheme based on VISSIM. The results show that, after adopting the recommended traffic organization optimization scheme, the passable traffic volume at the intersection increases by 2%, the vehicle delay in the road network decreases by 11%, the traffic efficiency is improved, the conflict between vehicles is significantly reduced, and the traffic order is improved.
