ABSTRACT
The analyzation of the influencing factors of carbon emissions plays a very important role in implementing the “double carbon” policy. As one of the main energy consumers, the transportation industry’s carbon emissions cannot be underestimated, and its consumption reduction task is important and urgent. By searching and obtaining the development data of the transportation industry in Hubei Province in recent years, this paper first determines the main factors affecting the energy consumption and carbon emissions of the transportation industry, and then calculates the contribution of each factor based on the LMDI method, so as to determine the key factors affecting the carbon emissions of the transportation industry. Finally, according to the decomposition results, the development level of transportation and energy intensity on transportation are the main factors affecting carbon emissions. Based on this, suggestions on energy conservation and emissions reduction of the transportation industry in Hubei Province are proposed.
