Research on Energy Recovery System of Compressible Deceleration Belt

ABSTRACT
Speed bumps, as a type of road safety equipment, are installed in a large number of places where traffic is concentrated. The energy generated by vehicles passing through the speed bumps will generally be converted into heat energy for dissipation. Based on the starting point of green transportation and sustainable development, this design studies an energy recovery system of compressible deceleration belt. The system is mainly composed of a hydraulic system, control system, ZigBee module, speed-up system, power generation system, and energy storage system. When the load-bearing vehicle drives through the deceleration belt, the deceleration belt goes down and the falling weight is accelerated by the speed increasing system, which drives the generator to generate electricity and stores the generated electric energy into the energy storage system. The design aims to promote the development of intelligent transportation facilities.
