Improved Algorithm to Analyze One-Dimensional Collision
Publication: International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2009
Abstract
One-dimensional collision accident is a usual style and also is a comparison basis style in accident. It usually uses the method of Newtonian mechanics, rigid-body kinematics and the experiential expressions of the effective collision velocity to analyze the velocity before collision. However there are usually errors between the calculation result and the fact The paper establishes a simplified model of vehicle collision both based on the analysis of the course of rigid body collision and, uses the rigid-body kinematics differential equation to establish an improved model of one-dimensional collision accident, and calculate the velocity before collision. At last, the paper uses three different model such as the classical model of one-dimensional collision, the improved model and PC-Crash to analyze a same case. The examples proved that the result of the improved model of one-dimensional collision is more reliable than the classical model.
