Abstract
Overloading is one of the important causes of grave and serious traffic accidents frequent occurrence. Vehicle which is severe overloading dose not only damage the road and bridge, but also threats driving safety by reducing the braking performance of vehicle. The paper takes a double-shaft truck which braking force ratio of front and rear wheel brake is a fixed value as the research object, discussing the impact of overloading working on braking performance based on analyzing the relationship between distribution curve of ideal brake force, actual mass and distribution curve of actual brake force, and accordingly analyze the boundary between reasonable and serious overloading. This paper aims at providing some theoretical basis of control the phenomenon of severe overloading.
