The Self-Organization Mechanism of Urban Passenger Traffic System Evolving
Publication: International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2007
Abstract
Based on analyzing the characteristics of urban passenger traffic system, the author finds that the system could satisfy the conditions of dissipative structure, and it was self-organized. Further the connotation of self-organization evolution is elaborated. On the basis of affecting factors analysis, the research proposes that mixed land utilize and the development of information technology are negative entropy flows. The evolution model is built and the two order parameters of the system are obtained. By means of analyzing the model from four aspects, the evolving laws are revealed and the focus of management is pointed out. All of these can provide important theoretical basis for long-term traffic planning.
