Research on the Matching and Coordinating Relationship of Operation System in Marshalling Station on Trunk Line with Increased Speed
Publication: International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2007
Abstract
The primary characteristic of the operation system is the unbalanced status of arrival train flows in marshalling station on trunk lines with increased speed. Based on its operational requirements and characteristics, the theory of queuing and stochastic process is used to analyze quantitatively the condition of the operation system. The paper analyzes quantitatively the critical intensity arrival time of trains and the condition for appearance of saturation of declassification subsystem, efficiency and reliability of assembling subsystem and the critical intensity departing time of departure subsystem separately. The measures for improving the matching and coordinating relationship of operation system include setting inspector crews in declassification and departure subsystem in reason, the transit rate of section under 90% during trains arriving and departing intensively, reducing the coefficient of variance of arriving and departing time interval of the linking sections, adding de assembling locomotives and assembling locomotives during busy period, adding classification tracks and departure tracks, optimizing daily operation plan, optimizing operation scheme of train flows, keeping the operation system continuous and stable, increasing the percentage of wagons in transit without sorting, and so on.
