Study on the Progress of Library Construction Research in China Based on Bibliometric Analysis

ABSTRACT

Library architecture has undergone many years of development and has achieved many notable achievements. In order to explore its development, this paper has reviewed literature related to Chinese library architecture from 1992 to 2022, with 452 papers from Beijing University’s core journals, CSSCI and CSCD databases of China National Knowledge Infrastructure as the research objects. Using CiteSpace, the collected data was visualized and analyzed, drawing scientific knowledge maps of keywords and author collaboration. The paper also introduced the number of published literature, authors, institutions, and research hotspots in this field. The research results show that the research hotspots in this field include architectural design, spatial design, reading rooms, spatial layout, architectural characteristics, functionality, design concepts, humanistic spirit, and so on.
