ABSTRACT

The construction industry, though it is among the pillars of the national economy, is susceptible to external influences. In recent years, with the development of both human society and the national economy, the external environment of the construction industry has undergone significant changes, representing unprecedented challenges for large-scale construction enterprises (LSCEs). This study, focused on digital transformation, first employs the PEST analysis method to analyze the external environment of the construction industry, highlighting the importance of digital transformation. Subsequently, the internal resources and capabilities of LSCEs are examined, and finally, strategies for the digital transformation of LSCEs are formulated through SWOT analysis. The result showed that LSCEs should actively use its strengths in terms of capital, branding and resource integration for digital talent and technology acquisition, while adapting its organizational culture and establishing appropriate R&D mechanisms.
