ABSTRACT
Parameter sensitivity analysis is particularly important in the calibration of traffic simulation parameters. As the parameter sensitivity varies in different scenarios, it is necessary to analyze the parameter sensitivity before the scenario simulation. In response to the problems of the complex process of sensitivity analysis of microscopic traffic simulation models, the number of experiments, and time consumption, an automated implementation method of sensitivity analysis of microscopic simulation parameters is proposed, and 20 key parameters in microscopic traffic simulation models are simulated using the COM interface technology provided by VISSIM simulation software. The speed of analysis is improved. The method is applied to toll stations for experiments, including experimental design, simulation model assignment and operation, result summary, and sensitivity analysis. The results show that headway, following state, average expected distance, and following variable are important parameters affecting the calibration index.
