Finished Vehicle Logistics Based on Railway Freight Transportation

Abstract
With the rapid development of economies in China, the demand for automobiles is increasing sharply. There are three ways for finished vehicles to be shipped from manufacturers to dealers. One way is by road transportation. Another one is by water transportation. The third one is by rail freight transportation. Due to the higher transportation fee for road way and limited path of water way, the railway is becoming increasingly attractive for finished vehicle transportation. To achieve the better performance and "zero kilometers" for a new car, a kind of finished vehicle logistics model is provided in this paper. "Zero kilometers" means the buyer gets a car with its mileage less than 1 km.
