Analysis of Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emissions Based on COPERT Model

Abstract
The macroscopic traffic emission model is a useful tool in wide-area emission assessment, which is typically used to calculate and develop national or regional emission factors and inventories. This paper uses the portable emission measurement system to collect real-time vehicle emission data and develops the analysis platform for the emission data based onthe COPERT III model and corresponding secondary development tools. Further, the emission characteristics of different emission species for different vehicles are obtained, and the ratio of emissions for each pollutant on the road is calculated. Finally, the paper presents a discussion with respect to further analysis of emissions based on COPERT III model.
