Abstract
It is important influence on the construction of road network efficiency that the developing scales of the urban road network how to determine. In order to reach to the objective that effectiveness optimal and rationality economic for the urban transport road, the method of flow — density for the developing scale of the urban road network had been proposed. It was based on analyzing the method of road network density, the theory of traffic flow and application of TRANSCAD. Finally, the paper analyzed the procedure of above methods by the case, and proved the rationality and reliability of the methods.
