An Extension Theory Based Evaluation of the Impact of Various Traffic Taxes on Low Carbon Traffic
Publication: ICTE 2011
Abstract
With the continuously using of the fossil energy, the density of the carbon gas in the atmosphere remain increasing and will lead to many undesirable consequences such as air pollution and greenhouse effect. A huge volume of carbon gas is released by the transportation industry and this volume increase rapidly. Nowadays the vehicle population in the China grows very fast so that the low carbon traffic becomes a very important direction of the traffic development. Various kind of traffic taxes make up a major part of the low carbon policy. This paper first establishes the matter-element model. Then the evaluation index system is obtained. At last it uses the extension theory to get how the traffic taxes promote the low carbon traffic with a comprehensive evaluation. On the results of the evaluations we can better understand how the traffic taxes influence the low carbon traffic.
