Abstract
In order to analyze the characteristic of Chinese mixture traffic flow, this paper built a traffic control and simulation integrative platform. It is based on the system simulation technology, traffic engineering, compute science and the virtual reality technology. By using this integrative platform, traffic flow simulation, signal control design and traffic infrastructure valuation can be conducted. The main parts of this platform involves the demand analysis model, roadnet describe model, traffic regulation model, signal control model, vehicle behavior model, route choice model and input/output model. In this paper, the framework and the some key models were illuminated. Finally, a case study was done based on some field data. From the results, this platform was tested to be effective to some extent.
