Abstract
Driving conditions and durability of pavement skid-resistant are important factors that influence traffic safety of expressway tunnel. To understant the present conditions of pavement skid-resistant performance, mean texture depth (MTD) and British pendulum number (BPN) were measured in different places on an expressway tunnel pavement. Residual life of pavement skid-resistant was predicted based on surveyed traffic volume. Fuzzy cluster was used to analyze pavement skid-resistant performance. The analysis results showed that skid-resistant performance of asphalt concrete pavement is better than that of cement concrete pavement and skid-resistant performance of different places in tunnel has certain regularity, which matched the actual situation well. This paper provided scientific basis to select pavement maintenance strategies and to set speed limits in tunnel, which will lead to a decrease in traffic accidents.
