Abstract
Non-uniform bus timetable is presented and the corresponding model is set up. Then the Genetic Algorithm and Simulated Annealing algorithm are combined, also the crossover operation, mutation operation and elitist strategy are improved in genetic process, so the improved hybrid genetic simulated annealing algorithm is got. Finally, this algorithm is designed and used to the bus timetable model, and the results indicate this algorithm has the higher efficiency than simple GA and is one effective way to optimizing the bus timetable, also the non-uniform bus timetable is proved to reduce the passengers' waiting time and improve the agency's efficiency.
