Abstract
Longju bridge in Song county in Luoyang, Henan province was erected in 1975. The bridge is 46.0 m long. The upside structure is single-side cantilever assembling reinforced concrete truss. The pier is designed as the type of reinforced concrete gravity pier. In order to generally detect the working conditions of the bridge, the cantilever span is chosen to do static and dynamic loading test. According to the test result the health evaluation is given, which suggests to reinforce the bridge and put forward a set of reinforcement design. In order to find out a new way of the reconstruction of the old and dangerous bridge, a method of structure detection, evaluation and reinforcement is discussed.
