Evolution and Development of the Railway Corridor in China
Publication: International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2009
Abstract
Structure of railway transportation corridor (RTC), formation and evolution of RTC, influence of RTC on economic system and duties division of RTC were separately demonstrated in this paper. RTC is a result of the complicated interaction that occurs among many elements such as the gathering effect of the formation and development of industry, international division and district contacts, rule of traffic centralization, commerce, politics and military needs and level of national economic development. According to the stages of history, the main structures of railway corridor were in different cases by converting the developing potential energy to kinetic energy. The effect of accumulation is enhanced nearby the station and the growth axis. When the aggregation equals to the repulsion force of railway corridor, the economy development speed is accelerated where outside the equilibrium region of corridors. Lastly, mathematic description of the railway transportation corridor, system Constraint conditions and objective function, modeling and solving were presented in this article.
