Simulating Analysis on the Excavation and Lining of Twin-Arched Tunnel

Publication: International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2007

Abstract

The elastic-plastic model was used to simulate the excavation and lining process of twin-arched tunnel by finite element method. As the stability of surrounding rock of twin-arched tunnel and the stress and deformation of rock have close connection with the construction procedure, we analyzed the tunnel structure under different procedures in this paper. According to the research, reasonable procedure of excavation and lining and the best lining time were put forward.
