Intelligent Transportation System Based on Dynamic GIS
Publication: International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2007
Abstract
Based on the development tendency of GIS, this paper puts forward the concept of dynamic GIS (Geography Information System), and compares dynamic GIS with traditional GIS, such as static GIS, temporal GIS and mobile GIS, etc. The paper also discusses the advantages of introducing dynamic GIS into ITS on the basis of analyzing the traditional GIS' application pattern and disadvantages in ITS. Then aiming at the specialty of the traffic circumstances, it brings forward the integrated pattern and the system framework of dynamic GIS and ITS, it also studies the involved key technologies, such as dynamic data collection and dynamic updating Finally, it expects the application foreground of dynamic GIS in ITS.
