Abstract
Based on the theory of visual environmental load, a series of evaluation methods for the guiding visual environment of rail transit station are brought forward. By analyzing the precision of simulative wayfinding and the proportion of each kind of wayfinding questions in a rail transit station during peaking hours, the guiding visual environment in the behavioral process of passengers could be evaluated. Then these methods are applied to Xujiahui Station in Shanghai to evaluate and meliorate the guiding visual environment of this station.
