The Calculating Model and Algorithm of Wagon Flow in Railway Bureau Dispatch System

Abstract
The main activities of daily and shift plan in railway bureau dispatch center are analyzed in this paper. The thought that wagon flow calculating is the key of developing railway dispatch system is confirmed. And the realization method of making the railway networks in digital is given. Meanwhile, the principle and implementation of marking the wagon flow direction code by man-machine conversation mode are also expounded. Moreover, the method to describe the Freight Train Makeup Plan (FTMP) by wagon flow direction code is discussed in detail. The relationship between FTMP and the basic train diagram is established. And the maintenance model of FTMP is also set up. Furthermore, the wagon flow calculating model and algorithm are elaborated in detail. On the basis of the model and algorithm, the simple and practical algorithm for making departure train plan is given with respect to the characteristics of present railway dispatch situation in China. All the algorithms stated in this paper are implemented by Java and applied in railway bureau Daily and Shift Plan System (DSPS) successfully. In practice, the models and algorithms are proved to be feasible and effective. And it will facilitate the railway bureau dispatch routine to some extent.
