Abstract
The container terminal demand is divided into mutually independent discrete sub-markets according to the feature and develop trend of the terminal market and the ports service class. The Cournot model is adopted in every sub-market to analysis the game among the terminals whose service class reaches the requirement of the sub-market, and obtained the solution that is the equilibrium of every terminal scale and their profit in the sub-market. Summing the equilibrium scale of every sub-market up, we can obtain the terminal equilibrium scale in the market. Supported by the game theory in the paper, the Chinese container terminal market is studied and the planning throughput distribution sketch of every terminal is made out.
