Editor’s Note

 This issue of the ASCE Journal of Construction Engineering and Management includes a case study (“Contemporaneous Time Series and Forecasting Methodologies for Predicting Short-Term Productivity”) and a technical paper (“Cross-Validation of Short-Term Productivity Forecasting Methodologies”) that are related. The author, Dr. Seokyon Hwang, has written these two articles so that the technical paper will be more meaningful to readers if they read the case study, by Hwang and Liang Y. Liu, first. However, the policy for ASCE journals is that technical papers appear first and case studies follow. Rather than make an exception to this policy, the decision was made to print the technical paper before the case study and to use this editor’s note to notify readers that they consider reading the case study first. Please consider reading the case study first, if you choose to read these two related articles.
