Advances in Measurement and Modeling of Soil Behavior

Abstract

  • Proceedings of Geo-Denver 2007, New Peaks in Geotechnics, held in Denver, Colorado, February 18-21, 2007. Sponsored by the Geo-Institute of ASCE. This Geotechnical Special Publication contains 38 papers that describe recent advances in the measurement and modeling of soil behavior. New methodologies for laboratory and in situ testing of soil properties are presented together with advances in modeling of measured soil behavior. The papers cover a broad spectrum of soils from granular materials to soft clays. A special feature of this collection of papers is that results are presented from work on the behavior and modeling of soils at the macro, micro and nano scales.
