ABSTRACT
As the main artery of transportation, freeway is responsible for the operation of trucks, but these trucks have led to an increase in the appearance of debris. Understanding the subjective cognitive laws of drivers on freeway debris is essential for freeway safety management. Based on questionnaire data, this paper explores differences in drivers’ perception of freeway debris through independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA. The results show that drivers of different genders, driving ages, and driving styles are different in their awareness and attention to debris. In the early warning measures for debris, drivers prefered the navigation system. In the traffic management measures, drivers tended to choose to improve the inspection of the binding goods for trucks at toll stations. This can provide a basis for the formulation of the management regulations of the freeway management department on the debris.
