Research on Intensive Delivery Strategy for Storage Resources of Express Cabinet

The rapid growth of express business volume and people’s increasing demand for express service have brought unprecedented and severe challenges to the express industry, especially the end-delivery problem of the “last kilometer” in cities, such as low delivery efficiency and single business model. The appearance of express cabinet alleviates the problem of terminal distribution to a certain extent. However, in recent years, the scale and quantity of express cabinet and parcel are in short supply, and the space resources of express cabinet lattice are greatly wasted. Therefore, this study proposes two kinds of intensive delivery strategies for the storage space of express cabinets and conducts a survey of express cabinet users in Beijing, analyzes the feasibility of the intensive delivery strategy using questionnaire data, and puts forward suggestions for the sustainable development of express cabinets.
