ABSTRACT
With the establishment of a comprehensive transportation network, it is necessary to develop a statewide transportation assignment model. Multi-agent simulation technology not only considers the behavior of travelers but also simulates the time-dependent traffic flow. This paper uses the open-source multi-agent simulation framework to construct the Jiangsu multi-modal transportation assignment model. The traveler’s route is extracted from the cellular signaling data, and the route choice model is estimated through different types of route data. The travel demand in Jiangsu province is generated using OD data at the county level. The essential simulation net primarily generated by the multi-modal network data of Jiangsu Province, railway train schedule data, etc., choice model of Jiangsu province is embedded into MATSim, an open-source multi-agent simulation framework, to build Jiangsu’s multi-modal transportation assignment model. The model’s simulation results are similar to the actual road network observation flows. The model can also be used to analyze the traffic flow of the road network in the road maintenance scenario.
