ABSTRACT
The temporal and spatial coverage rates of sensors have been increasing rapidly. However, existing sensing systems could not effectively monitor the sensors and extract effective traffic information, so constructing a collaborative sensing system integrated with simulation is studied. The integrated sensing system architecture is designed based on the study of traffic management system needs, and one synchronization method is proposed to achieve the integration. Applied to a practical road network, the experiment results show that the proposed integrated sensing system can simulate practical network traffic and microscopically display real-time static and dynamic states of people, vehicles, roads, and sensors. Furthermore, integrated sensing system managers can implement induction measures in advance and obtain data support for practical road network measure implementation.
