ABSTRACT
To provide a high-efficient tool in analyzing near-future traffic evolution, this study develops a microscopic simulation platform for a multi-lane straight highway (HEMSP-SH) in the mixed traffic flow. Specifically, the proposed HEMSP-SH has the function of simulated basic traffic environment with the mixed flow, selecting multiple lanes, and multiple control modes. This research adopts the design method of separating interface and logic. The visual interface is designed in Qt Designer, and an abundance of customizable parameters is provided. The simulation loic is developed in PyCharm. Especially, the process pool is integrated into the simulation process, which can leverage the multi-core automation of execute simulation tasks in parallel, so as to reduce the manual operation and dwell time in the simulation process. The experimental results show that the simulation platform can complete a large number of simulation tasks with high efficiency and strong stability due to its high parallelism capability.
