Study on the Willingness to Use and Parking Behavior of Automated Valet Parking

ABSTRACT

Under the background of the intelligent transport system, the concept of the automated valet parking (AVP) has provided a new idea to solve the problem of urban parking. At present, there are few studies on the influence of the willingness to use AVP, which needs to be explored in depth. This paper introduces the explanatory variables of the perceived risk and trust to expand the combined technology acceptance model and theory of planned behavior (C-TAM-TPB), and then integrates the latent variables and observable variables in the extended C-TAM-TPB model into the binomial logit model to form a mixed selection model. By calibrating the parameters of each variable, the relationship between latent variables and the degree of influence of significant variables are obtained, and corresponding suggestions are put forward for the key influencing factors. This study is an important reference for relevant government departments on how to promote and develop AVP.
