ABSTRACT
Failure of a section or station in a rail transportation system can lead to changing operating conditions of adjacent sections. The propagation of this impact is difficult to predict due to the complexity of the rail transportation system. The cellular transmission model can comprehensively simulate the operating state of the traffic system and has been verified in the road traffic system. This paper has made some modifications to the cellular transmission model and applied it to the simulation of the rail transit system. On this basis, this paper discusses the variation in the operating state of the rail transit system caused by the failure of the interval and station under different conditions.
