ABSTRACT
Public transportation-oriented urban development models can help solve urban congestion. However, as the core of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD), the mixed development model of multiple transportation modes around metro stations is less studied. In this paper, a comprehensive evaluation system for TOD of metro stations is proposed. Firstly, the Delphi method is used to select the indicators characterizing the mixed transportation development and evaluate the degree of their influence on the level of TOD development of the station, respectively. Subsequently, the K-means algorithm is applied to classify the Beijing subway stations and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is applied to score the TOD development level of metro stations. Finally, the differences in station types and mixed traffic patterns among stations with different TOD development levels are analyzed, and mixed traffic development suggestions are given to provide theoretical support for planners than blind development methods.
