ABSTRACT
With the development of intelligent vehicles, urban traffic will be in the mixed condition composed of intelligent vehicle and manual vehicles for a long time in the future. It is of great significance to study the impact of multiple types of vehicles on intersections. Mixed driving queue schemes are pointed to analyze influence factors of mixed driving from the micro level and are designed with two and three types of vehicles at intersections, which based on the distribution characteristics of intelligent vehicles in the queue, such as number, location, type, and sequence. It is found that the intelligent vehicles at the head of the queue have a great impact on the traffic capacity, and increasing the number of intelligent vehicles improve the capacity of the designated entrance lane. The research shows that the intersection capacity can be significantly improved by controlling the queuing position of intelligent vehicles in the queue.
