ABSTRACT

Protect the environment and provide a regional highway boundary for better-pointed formulation management measures along the highway region during construction and operation. The study takes the G30 highway in Shandan County, Zhangye, China, as the research area, using Landsat 8 OLI remote sensing images from 2013 to 2022 and monitoring data as basic data. The calculation methods are adopted with the pixel binary model, linear regression, and curve fitting, based on vegetation index, air pollutants indexes, and noise index, to discuss the spatial and temporal changes in the environment along the highway. The results show that the influence of the highway is greatest within 200 m, and the influence of the highway on the environment decreases as the distance increases. The road boundary is divided into three levels: (1) Strong Effect Zone 0−200 m; (2) Sub-Effect Zone 200−400 m; and (3) Weak Effect Zone 400−600 m.
