Optimization of Production Scheduling for Prefabricated Components: Survey of Literature

Publication: ICCREM 2021

ABSTRACT

The purpose of the present study is to indicate scheduling optimization algorithm can be a powerful tool in a specific precast components (PCs) production situation. A survey of the literature based on the existing uses of scheduling optimization for PCs is conducted; opportunities and barriers are also presented for the subject. Analysis of scheduling optimization algorithms can provide valuable information regarding time, cost, and process scope. The issues that need to be clear are not few, with most important ones being the reliability of the modeling and the comprehensiveness of the process. The study concludes with recommendations in relation to the existing gaps in the literature, such as the need to advance scheduling optimization methods required for the production of PCs.
