Simulation of Pedestrian Evacuation Considering Behavior Characteristic: Based on Cell Transmission Model
Publication: CICTP 2021
ABSTRACT
We propose a modified cell transmission model to simulate the movement of pedestrians’ behavior in the room by considering the following psychology of pedestrians and the behavior of maintaining a safe distance with others. The path selection of pedestrians is driven by potential, which is a comprehensive reflection of the interaction between pedestrians, the distance to the exit and the path capacity. In the simulation, the evacuation space of pedestrians is divided into a series of hexagonal grids, and the sensitivity of the model parameters is analyzed. The simulation results are compared with the actual empirical data, and the flow- density diagram has good consistency. The influence of obstacles at the exit on evacuation is studied and analyzed. It is found that placing obstacles at the appropriate position of the exit can alleviate congestion of the exit to a certain extent and improve the evacuation efficiency.
