ABSTRACT
Internal mechanisms affect the usage intention (UI) of urban residents to car sharing. Using traffic travelers as the research object, and based on the theory of planned behavior, four driving experience factors including charging rationality (CR), ease of use (EU), travel comfort (TC) and perceived risk (PR) are considered. A structural equation model is constructed of urban residents’ usage intention (UI) of car sharing. Through a questionnaire survey, the quantitative relationship between seven psychological variables and UI of car sharing is analyzed. Clustering characteristics are studied according types of cities where travelers live and whether they own private cars. Results indicate that the impact of CR on attitude (AT) is high. Attitude, subjective norms (SN), perceived behavioral control (PBC) and PR will have different degrees of influence on UI, and SN is the key factor. The research provides a reference for government agencies and car sharing companies to make policies.
